Hi guys,
I would just like to say this forum is super awesome with tons of info and great members!
I am new to IM and i am starting to take some methods and trying them. But of course IM takes money and i dont have much of that I was wondering if people would pay me to have their ad on the bay area craigslist which gets tons of traffic- San Francisco Oakland Berkeley etc. Do you think people would pay? If yes how much do you think? Or is this just something that no one would want. Thank you

I dont think soo, if you are techincal enough to realize Craigslist is out there, you can likely do it.

Good way of thinking, good luck and keep it going.

    Cheers,
    Mukul

Not true. A business owner will likely create an account with craigslist and try to make a few posts. Among all the ghosting problems and limitations the business owner will run into, he/she will leave it alone or comply with craigslist's 48 hour posting rule. If you can work craigslist correctly, you can offer marketing services to offline businesses. Especially in San Francisco

Yes you can make money. I have done it before. However, you need to be a bit more creative. You can't just ask people to pay you to "post an ad on craigslist".

I have purchased several gigs on fiverr to have my ads posted on Craigslist. Reason being, I am in Australia but want my ads posted in the US.

If I'm not mistaken, anybody can post their own ads to SF Bay Area Craigslist if you have another cell phone/line that can be verfied. I have a Houston area code and post to another city in another state...?

There are couple of things you could try for free.

    1) Put up a Fiverr gig.
    2) Put up a gig on every Fiverr alternative.
    3) Post on Craigslist for your services.
    4) Offer Craigslist posting for other cities. Your client may already post in your area. You could post for them in other areas.
    5) Put your service in your Warrior Forum sig.
    6) Offer postings for Craigslist alternatives like ebay classifieds, etc.

I did a quick search in the Members looking to Hire you forum.

      Hi, Money Fan:

Agree wholeheartedly with Eddie Titan's advise, and Joe Mobley.

One addition to Joe Mobley's list ... regarding your Signature ...

You need your Signature to link to a website or blog ... even a comprehensive one-page blog, which describes specifically what you offer, how to order it and pay for it, and how to get in touch with you, will be helpful.

Putting your offer on your blog will be helpful to you as well.

You need a well thought out plan, and then implement it. It's best to first find out all the intricate details (and rules) of Craigslist.

Regarding the pricing of your offer: first research what other people are charging for similar services, and calibrate what the fair market will bear. Then, ask yourself, what you, yourself, would be willing to pay for similar services and determine your pricing from there. If somehow you've miscalculated, you can always adjust your offer accordingly.

If you have an excellent service that people need or want (at a fair and affordable price), and you deliver your excellent service as advertised, people will beat a path to your door.

      Best Wishes ...
