anyone here have a talent for ideas?

Hi fellow warriors,

Im sending out a bit of a plea for help here, I dont consider myself a great brainstormer for ideas, so wanted to ask for help!

I have a 66 yr old mother who is an ordained protestant priest, my mum has run into some debt problems and due to bad a health she cannot work a full time job! Ive been trying to think of something online I could set up in the religous niche for her and monetize, just a couple of hundred bucks a week could make a difference and stop her having to rent a room in her house out to a complete stranger!!!

If anyone in the community has any good ideas I would love to hear them, and obviously being a priest, it needs to be something ethical!

Look forward to hearing any suggestions you may have!! so thanks in advance!

Presumably, London (or wherever your Mum is) has shut-ins - elderly or sick people who cannot get out to attend church.

She could video services, sermons, etc. and sell access to them for a small fee. Get a couple of hundred people to put up a buck a week, and you're there. She could even add a PayPal donation button and 'pass the plate' much like she would in a live service.

Something to maybe get the gears turning, anyway...

Maybe she could write a devotional book and sell it online or in a kindle version.

She might also consider writing an inspirational blog and then selling her ebook there. If she doesn't want to write her own book she could become an affliate for inspirational books on Amazon.

Another option would be doing a blog or website on bereavement issues. A lot of people never plan a funeral or write a eulogy until the time comes and they only have a day or two to think about how to do it.

Those are the first two that popped into my head. If I think of more I'll comment again. (My dad was a minister.)

Providing an actual service is probably the quickest way. What are your skills? What can you do?

I've found that brainstorming is best done with all participants physically present. Wrong impressions can be quickly corrected.

That said, I would fire up Market Samurai and start researching various keywords looking for something that seems viable. They have (I think) a 14 day free trial of the fully functioning software which should be more than enough time to get started.

Google works but it is not presented in as easy a format to grasp. Their Wonder Wheel used to be a great source of LSI (related) keywords, but I think that has gone away.

The Adwords free external keyword tool is another source of ideas (google it.)

And I'm sure she could talk to others in her circle of influence to get ideas.

One offline suggestion: A lot of couples who don't attend church on a regular basis need to hire someone to perform their wedding ceremony.
