Getting Traffic to Your Articles

Hi guys. I've now got 3 articles published on ezine articles for a specific niche i've been trying out.

I read that it's a good idea to get traffic to those particular articles, not just to your landing page.

What ideas do you have to do this?

Post a comment in someone's blog - make it relevant and refer them to your article.

Besides blogs, also post on forums in the same helpful fashion.

I don't think any of the other methods (classifieds, PPC, link exchange) should be used for articles.

Also, I don't see the point of actually advertising your articles: if they go to your articles they may or may not got to your page; if they go directly to your page you have a targeted costumer immediately (provided the post you did was good and in a related forum/blog).

If the article is useful to the readers of the blog or forum, while it's true they may not pass through to your site, it may be mentioned by some of those same people to others on other forums/blogs.

Possibly more importantly, if a forum allows linking to your related article, they might not allow linking directly to your site. A lot depends on the particular forum, article and site.

Of course more links to you article means there may be more traffic to your article, which in turn means better exposure, and better perception by readers and the article directory. In most cases it won't hurt the SE rankings of the article, and might help.

Similarly, this could be important if the article its self is in some way monetized.

Getting your articles to rank well in the search engines is many times easier than getting your own site to rank. Depending on the keywords, because ezine has a PR6, if you build a few back links to it, the article will show up on the first page must faster than your actual website.

You can create backlinks and/or create a lot of attention. Both of them will give your articles a boost in the SERPS. When your article is viewed hundreds of times, it gets listed in the most viewed list in ezinearticles. When that happens your articles gets a lot of internal backlinks from ezinearticles. You can achieve that by using the social bookmarking sites. In addition, you can do comment on blogs related to your niche with a link back to your article. Hope that helps.

You could also ping your authors' feed at ezine articles at a ping site like pingler.com (90+ ping directories)

Don't forget to click on one of the adsense ads at the site so that the owner of this powerful resource can keep the site alive - after you do your ping operation.

Note: It may take 1 tries to get it to start pinging because of capha issues.

    Hope This Helps!!
