Get Your Opt In Subscribers To Trust You Quickly

Here's one tip that has in creased my optin rate and kept my subscribers from leaving me.

Tip in getting a customer to trust you quickly is to provide them an escape hatch.

Show them that you are not there to trap them.

Keep a clean list that would enable them to unsubscribe anytime they want.

Elaborate your web form by providing information on how to unsubscribe from the list. Guarantee them that they can let go of the service when ever they want to.

Many are wary that they may be stuck for life and would have to abandon their email accounts when they get pestered with spam.

At first it was scary for me to even thing of this, but after implementing it, it works like reverse psychology.

Give it a go and love to hear your feed-back on how it works out for you.

I've been doing this for years, and it seems to work well. I only say "seems" because I've never run a true split test.

Many of my emails to lists start with a bit of humor, like

"You asked me to send you [pub name] on [details].

I don't believe in taking hostages, so if you ever change your mind, you're only one finger-twitch away from the exit. At the bottom of every email, you will see a link that looks like this:

    [unsub link]

Be very careful, because clicking that link will take you off of this list forever. You'll be free, no hard feelings..."

Oooh, weird ... you and I have never discussed this at all, and we both do exactly the same thing (and even with somewhat similar wording)!

Is this true or you just say it to scare them? it might sound that they can't ever come back ...

I may not take hostages, but I also don't burn bridges. If they want to make the effort to resubscribe, I don't stop them. But they have to take the steps. Otherwise, they are immediately deleted from the database and the emails just stop.

In addition to displaying unsubscribe links prominently, consistently offer value; never disappoint your subscribers.

This is a good method. Also try and deliver tons of value, tips and tricks, Free ebooks and of course the early bird specials on all your future releases. Treat your list how you would treat your mom and you'll be fine.
