I have been a member of stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site for many years now, with no problems to date. They have an extremely large database of royal free pics and images, so feel free to take a look.

Morguefile has the least restrictive terms that I've come across. Based on my reading of the terms, you can use the images in PLR. The selection of images isn't very good, though. Avoid using images of recognizable persons because there are no model releases.

Stock.xchng is free and ok for most uses but not PLR products.

Best bet is to take your own photos or be prepared to spend big bucks on extended licensing.

Xtended licenses are Xpensive and then some. I have to often pay. Taking your own is easier. Also Xtended licenses are many. Like some will only allow 100,000 repros. Unlimited costs a lot more money. Did we say expensive. I thought so...

If you just want free photos just use google to search for the photos you need anything that comes up in images are public so you can use them.
I generally use iStock Photo: Royalty Free Stock Photography, Vector Art Images, Music & Video Stock Footage | iStock and pay for any photos i need.

You can't use royalty free images for PLR. In fact you are going to have a hard time finding any type of photography to use legally with PLR. PLR is basically saying you have all rights to the material. US Copyright law says that the creator of an image holds the copyright. I hope you see the conflict.

Also, whomever is telling you that anything in Google search or even Google image search is copyright free and can be used without problems doesn't know and is blowing smoke up your butt. Just ain't so.

Don't find out the hard way by using something because your getting legal advice on a forum from people who think they know but really don't. If you want to be sure seek the advice of an attorney.

True some stuff found on the internet can be used. But it is really murky on what is legal and won't get you in trouble later on. That is why it is best not to use it if you want to be safe or hire someone in say a "work for hire" agreement to create the images so you can be the copyright holder.

Royalty Free is good if it fits your needs and you follow the agreement. Good Luck.

Just because you find it free on the Internet does not mean you can use it.

Even the stock photo sites sometimes restrict how an image might be used. You need to carefully read the licensing agreements to determine what appropriate usages are.

I have found the license at the stock photo site Photo Wizard pretty liberal Royalty Free Stock Photos

This is quite similar to the other post I just saw...Like other people say, Stock Xchng is a good website. However if you want to avoid getting low-quality files you might want to look into other royalty-free stock websites. There are many cheap ones out there, but I personally favor this one since they have tons of stock for wider selection. I feel like the keyword search is more precise than google search anyway.
