Do you like the mock of my new site?

Our current site is doing very well, although I do feel there is more potential to increase business.

I'd like to make our site look a little more serious, and also explain our press release system in more transparent detail.

Here is our current site: Piece of Cake PR - Press Release Writing and Distribution Service

Here is the mock for the new site: Piece Of Cake

A few things about the mock:

. This will actually be the homepage, we'll change all of the 'How it works' taglines etc - The designer just threw them in to fill content for the mock.

. The workflow graphic will be different. I have a great designer working on a new version and we'll place it where the current '01 02 03' graphic is on the mock.

. The distribution outlet logos will be scrollable.

What do you think? I'm looking from a sales point of view here. My hope is that it presents our offering a lot more simply.

Thanks,
Jim.

I love the mockup. Couldn't see your old site as it says Site Not Found.

It looks OK, not great.....the font doesn't appear to be web friendly, it looks kinda jagged and blurry on a MacBook Pro / Firefox. Also, I don't see the 'e' in the logo unless I go looking for it, so it reads to me like "A piece of Cak' - the UK folks will tell you that that ain't a good statement to have on top of any website.
Hey but that's just me, and you did ask.

I'd say that the mock is head and shoulders over the old design. Although the removal of the hand-holding cupcakes from the first site is a bit disheartening.

It's clean, uncluttered, has a friendly feel. I like it. If you want to make it even better get yourself a benefit-oriented headline right at the top. Something like, Reach Thousands Of Highly-Targeted Readers With Your Next Press Release! Click Here For Details.

    Good luck.

I like the mockup much better, it's much easier to understand than the old one. Plus it looks a lot more professional. The only thing that I would change would be to add a little more white space between the distribution outlet logos and the footer content/links.

    Good luck.

From a sales point of view, the mockup will probably do better..

However I find the current version is more attractive (overall)

Personally, I would build upon the current site

    What a difference!

Love the cupcake guys but you were right to get rid of them. Much more professional.

Terrific headline from travlingguy. Can't take him to Tim's for a coffee. lol Too bad. I think you owe him one.
