What to invest with $500

Hello everyone,

As you can see, I'm new here - I found this wonderful forum from someone's article about how to make money online.

I'm kind of in quick need of urgent money, and I only have about $500 to invest.

What are the quickest ways to make some profit with this little money?

Thanks

    Jayne,

Start with a War Room Membership and spend your first few weeks reading in there. You will get an idea of what sort of business will appeal to you.

I would set up a sales funnel with a freebie to build a list and spend the rest on solo ads.

What niche are you thinking of going into?

You can start your own website or join a system that will help you start out. Make it a goal to double, triple or multiply by however much you want your $500. In other words, find a way to turn into profit. I do recommend getting some training courses though. It would avoid some errors along the way.

I would invest in the War Room and also in a copy of Bring The Fresh. (Total Cost $134)

    I'd then put together either a service-based and/or PLR-based WSO. (Total Cost $40)

After that, I'd work on my service and also throw up some BTF sites and get them earning some cash. Then maybe flip a couple of them and build up a portfolio yourself.

It's not everything you need but it's a better plan, by far, than 95% of Internet Marketers start out with.

I would buy a ready made site on flippa and then invest in a good quality course - follow the course and then make your first site a success.

Then as you make money from your site you can buy more and more and more. And before you know it you will be in a position to quit your job.

Rich, I'm not sure what niche is better and/or suitable for me. However, if I were to create a sales funnel with freebie to build a list - I've wondered how am I suppose to get the traffic?

When you mention about starting my own website, what kind of website can I make money? I mean with what kind of contents?

I'm still looking for the 'way' to turn my money into profit, but so lost :S

I've heard alot about flippa, that there are alot of scammers out there :/
And certainly not to be scammed the first time I spend my money online!

Thanks everyone for your information. However, you are all suggesting me to make money from my site, but to be more specific - how and what kind of site should I be focusing in?

So many methods, and strategies that's making me so confused which one to focus on..

Maybe I need a mentor? anyone?

I would recommend running an article writing WSO and also putting your article writing service on the Warrior 4 Hire Forum. Also sign up at Elance and advertise from your signature. Offer packs of 10 custom written articles for $80-$120. Sell 10 packs and you've got another $1K to play with. Do a good job and you'll get some residual sales.

BTF stands for Bring The Fresh. It is an outstanding course for only $97. I give it my highest recommendation. Get that course and you will learn how to build passive income quickly in conjunction with your writing business.

        Hope this helps!

Writing articles would definitely be something worth awhile since there are no investments required to make sales. However I'm afraid that, English is not my first language, and so it won't be suitable for me.

Can you give me more details of BTF? what's it about, how does it work? and does it have to have in conjunction with writing services?

            Hi Jayne,

If writing is not something that you feel comfortable doing, what other services could you offer? What are you good at, what kind of computer skills do you have?

You should take a look at the Warriors For Hire category, see what types of services others are offering and figure out which of those services you could offer yourself.

Then get your ad up and you could be making money quickly.

        Jayne,

There are no shortcuts despite the zillions of pm's you have already got from people, desperate to relieve you of that cash, telling you otherwise.

Seriously, take the time to decide exactly what you want to do and then invest the TIME in learning how to do it. Otherwise you are going to sqander that money away with no return on investment.

If you approach this like a business instead of a 'get rich quick scheme' then you will build up something solid and sustainable.

A mentor is a really good idea. I would rather you took that money and used it with someone like John Taylor (see the WSO section for his coaching). Now he will get you results and he is ethical.

Do it right the first time

          Di, thanks for your advises.

Just letting you know, not to worry. I'm not stupid.. and I know most of the people who PMed me are not with the real purpose of helping me but instead of recommending me their products...

I certainly know there are no push button, overnight rich magic bullets, or cheapie get rich products, and so that's why I posted this thread about investing $500 to make this whole thing started.

However, I have the initial budget, but I don't have a direction yet. I have read alot, and I know there are still more to come.

All I'm actually asking is a more specific direction to focus on, such as SEO? affiliate marketing? Amazon? or...? whichever one is more stable income in the future!

As to a mentor, I tend to think that most of the training courses, or coaching programs are not as focus as I thought - as in, there are alot of students who follows a certain mentor, and so the mentor won't be able to focus on a certain student's needs and questions(?)

If you are in need of quick money, buy a War Room membership for one time fee of $37, stay out of the WSO forum and consider creating a Warriors for Hire thread for $20 if you have services that you can offer. That's the quickest way to make money. Put the rest away until you've read more of the forum and War Room and have a plan as to what kind of online business you'd like to start.

Maybe this sound like a plan, but Suzanne, can you recommend a service that is do-able for me to have a quick start?

Also if I were to start that service now(assuming I know everything about the service that I'm going to offer), do you think my sales would be affected much because I'm a new user?

I agree with joining the WR - unquestionably the best investment you can make, especially when you're just getting started.

Don't chase money! Start with knowing who you are, what you already know, what you can actually do (read 'starting in 30 seconds or less').

The best methods for YOU might not be anywhere near what other warriors recommend or suggest. That's just the essence of IM - it's thorough-going uniqueness from start to finish.

I will go with what sbucciarel said about creating a Warrior for Hire thread.

If you have any skills like article writing, graphics design and so on, offer them there.

You can also use Fiverr.com to promote gigs that will fetch you some good cash. And the best part is that you dont have to invest up to $100 for it.

      Just my 2 cents

No, actually. You should just hold on to it for now.

The reason is, I can talk something up and get you on board in a 2 minute conversation. 10 minutes later I could probably talk you out of it.

You're basically asking for people to get you to send them money. You're PM's are probably going to be lighting up with a ton of suggestions on how to spend your money, usually on their own services.

Next... it seems that you're likely to have unrealistic expectations. You're going to need to put effort into whatever you do, and with all the opinions flying out you're going to get nowhere, and fast. You're going to need a solid game plan and stick with it.

If you have skype, add me, iarenameless is the sn. I'm not going to work any miracles for you, but I'll give you some free guidance.

Dependant on how new to IM you are, but if you are very much at the beginning of your journey then here's a tip and probably the wisest investment in my opinion..

There is a mentoring program that was sold for $2,000 on launch.. The Affiliate Dot Com 2.0 .com (remove spaces).

This course can now be picked up for 2 installments of $97. First though you will need an account at Pay Dot Com.com (remove spaces

Only through Pay Dot Com can you get the special promotion as this is Mike Filsaimes payment processing program. He too owns affiliate dot com with Chris Farrell.

This is why the offer has only been made to members of Pay Dot Com.

It has some great training, particularly for newbies.

IM is a tuff world when starting out, you need proven mentors and systems.

    Hey Jayne,

I would suggest you invest in the war room and do not buy anything else, what are you good at? what skills do you have? maybe someone already asked this question and I missed it. if you can tell us what you can do then you will have more suggestions..

For example you can be a good writer, a good writer makes good money on Odesk..I find it hard to get good writers to write my content and I need alot of content to be written.. I hired some writers there and I pay them around 50$ a week ( each) , if you can get clients then you might be able to pull alot of money..

On the other hand, you can be a good writer and start your own business, my project is to build a huge website about one niche and monetize it with Amazon, alot of users here make 3000+ from Amazon.. you need to do some keyword research and SEO but that is DOABLE without buying alot of marketing products!

    Thanks.

The quickest way to make money online is as a service provider (as in someone who writes content for other people, does web development services, etc) because you're able to be paid via Paypal. This, however, requires that you either already have a skill or learn one that people are willing to pay for.

    Jayne,

As others have warned you...you'll probably get a bunch of PM's suggesting ways to take...err I mean invest your money. Don't listen to them.

It's not easy to make money on the internet quickly. It will take some time to figure out what you're interested in, what you're good at, and how that matches with a market that's willing to pay money.

Read the all in one threads and find something you're interested in trying. Then use the search function to read about that business model. Then ask specific questions.

    Good luck

    Jayne,

    1. Welcome to Internet Marketing.

    2. There are no short cuts to any place worth going.

    3. Find one methd you like and stick to it... And working for a marketer that is already successful is probably the best way to go, because you can "Learn while you Earn"

FYI one of the best ways to understand all of the different methods of making money online is the list of All-In-One threads here in the Warrior Forum.

You can buy a solo ad from someone like this: Solo Mailings & Business Building

And if you have your own product, or squeeze page with a free giveaway then you can request a mailing for a few hundred bucks and if you're autoresponder funnel is solid, you will probably make a few sales, if not a lot more.

For about $500 bucks, you can probably get around 1,000 clicks guaranteed.

I recommend you start there because building your list is what you should always be focusing on, and if you can monetize on the back end with some affiliate stuff, that is always a bonus.

    1) Invest in a Warrior Forum image insert in the signature line.

    2) Go to Google Adwords and start at a low cost per click

    3) Seek out targeted high traffic websites that you can advertise on

    4) Invest in an autoresponder (Aweber.com let's you get started for $1 for 30 days)

    5) Invest in a website with Hostgator or Yahoo Webhosting

    6) Create a product and put it on Clickbank.com and Paydotcom.com

Hmm... What about finding a profitable niche, or rather, a product/service that the OP can offer or promote? Although advertising techniques are important and the ones you have explained are not bad, it won't be of much help until the OP learns how to find and develop a way of making money from a specific niche. And considering the OP is new to this field and is asking us for a way to invest money to make money quickly, it wouldn't be the best idea to just jump in without knowing what she is doing.

    Jayne,

Paul Myers started a thread here that has loads of information for people seeking to make some quick cash. It is an 11 page thread (so far) with some good advice http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...desperate.html

Don't spend your money with someone that promises he/she will make you money. Don't buy a big fancy course that sounds too good to be true.

You are dealing with marketers here. By posting this thread, you just gave some of them an easier way to "try" to make money from you.

And just a fair warning, although I am sure others above have said this already, there are no short cuts in this field. Think of online business or internet marketing just like you would an offline business. You need to learn the ropes, figure out what you want to do, and do it. Then you need to learn from your mistakes, improve, and keep moving forward. If you, as you have stated, don't have a few weeks to learn internet marketer and you are determined to spend your money to try to make some quick cash, I'm afraid you will spend it and not see the returns that you are hoping for. In fact, it is not uncommon to spend that kind of money and not see any return at all.

First you must join the war room and read many article there or business plan and keep the rest of your money. after that pick one business model you really like or you really interested, and then use your money for that

Wow Jayne....you got lots of advice. Listen to the ones who tell you not to buy anything except a war room membership. And then read.

Give up doing this thing fast.

Just because you have $500.00 right now...does not mean you can just invest it into a money making machine. They do not exist...at least not as most people wish they did.

You will need to spend TIME...learning...

I spent about the last 6 months trying different things to see what would work and not work.

I created my website(s) with a FREE WordPress Platform...cheap hosting...and an idea of what I wanted to put on my site.

Find a product or niche you can believe in...and sell.

    Make the website.
    Learn Search Engine Optimization.

Expect a heavy learning curve and get as much training as you can...from people who are proven successful.

You need money, time and knowledge to make this business work.

I have some free resources in my sig...about different ways to get traffic to your website once you decide which website / niche to build.

    God Bless.

    Hi Jayne

    Di gave good advice.

I'M sorry to tell you but IM is not going to make you quick money.
People come here daily looking to make a quick buck, it ain't gonna happen.
IM is hard work and long hours as a beginner, you may not see a dime in earnings for weeks, months or even a year (depending)
It's best you know upfront as there will be those trying to convince you otherwise.

    Good luck...

You could run an Adwords campaign on a newly acquired domain, aimed at an affiliiate product, you like and think will do well, based on the results, you could build a site targetting the profitable keywords and take it from there

Thank you guys for alll the comments and suggestions.
However, other than looking for quick cash, I'm also looking for long-term incomes.

There are so many types out there such as, SEO, CPA, Amazon, affiliate, offline... but which is more easily do-able, and most stable income?

People who sent me PMs, I am unable to reply you guys, please add my skype to get in contact with me please!

That's really up to you! They are all do-able. In my opinion since I am also a newbie, for ME it seems to make sense to go with Amazon since it is a trusted company that people know, and also to use google adsense as just an additional way to stream income for the clicks.

The way I see it is anytime someone sees a recommendation for an Amazon product - they already know the Amazon name, and know they can trust there money being spent there wo it being stolen or then being ripped off unlike some niche blogs that use things like Clickbank.. even I think to myself, "is this person just trying to get my money?" That's why I don't create those types of blogs because if I think it, I'm sure others will. Others make good money at it, so don't let me opinion stop you.

And you don't have weeks to achieve this? Good. Luck.

If you need money now, try offering a service like article writing on Fiverr or in the Warriors For Hire section. If you need stable long term income, you are going to need to take some time to find a system, learn that system and put it to use.

The only good quick way to invest money and turn a profit is to run PPC campaigns that convert but there is no way a newbie is ever going to pull that off.

There is no shortcut. There is only hard work and persistence. Sorry.

I'd say invest in the War Room. I just joined this morning, and I'm already glad I spent that $37! It's well worth all the valuable information in there.

I did the Niche Profit Course for Amazon and I've read several E books, and I'm working on some niche mini sites. My main focus is earning through Adsense and Amazon, though I'm sure I'll add more.. I don't want to overwhelm myself with a ton of information that is out there.

If I had $500 right now I'd invest in a Flippa site that was already generating some sort of income in a niche site I was already looking to start. Pay with Escrow though, and not paypal.

Still I can't find that you mention something you're good at. I mean do you have any skills that can be used online? Isn't that the best way if you add a monetization part to it? Do something you can do right now - even if it's "just" a short report or ebook that you can sell... or blog about something you know enough and if you're passionate about some topic - that's even better.

There's ton of info here at Warrior Forum - how to blog for money, how to write articles and get paid for them, how to use Adwords and other PPC systems... there are even free guides here that will help you. There MUST be something suitable for you.

Not everyone does everything and not everyone is succesfull at anything. You just have to start somewhere.

I suggest you make a website for amazon associates focused on one product you could probably get about 20 websites for your budget if you make them yourself.

make a website about a product that will launch soon, and then get #1 for that keyword and when the product is launched lots of people will be googling it and you will get most of the traffic and sales.

I suggest you buy this fiverr gig: I will use Video PROOF to Show How I Get 90,000 Visitors to a new Website In Two Mnths by ranking numba 1 In Google Using My Think Forward Method for $5 on fiverr.com - I am not the seller just a happy customer.

Buy a domain $10, buy a micro niche site for $100.

Buy 5 articles @ 700 words each for $40.00 (average for what I pay, with great grammar etc.).

      $10 (domain)
      $100 (site creation, keyword research)
      $40.00 (content)

repeat this twice for 2 sites.

      = $150.00 x2 = $300.00

Spend the other $200.00 on some web 2.0 links to the sites.
Blog comments with low obl's to your home page, utilize 2 of the articles to be spun and syndicated. While having some social bookmark blast to your articles and/or interior pages.

You can expect these sites to generally do about $30-$300/month.

Sell them on flippa for about 1 years worth of income. i.e. if your making $200 a month, expect to get about $2,000 for the site.

Though this is pretty solid advice, make sure you realize that it won't be as easy as it seems. The problem with most people who want to generate income online is that they fall for the lies that they will be rich overnight. This is simply not true. You must understand that success is not simply applying one marketing secret but, rather, many different marketing tactics.

Yeah, this sounds great, but it's the first and last parts that are very hard -- research and ranking. Anyone can buy a site and some links. That won't get you to the top of Google!

        4. Start writing keyword rich posts on your topic.
        5. Write about 2-3 posts a day - be very consistent, stick with the same number of posts per week.
        6. Invest in seo. choose low competition keywords, write posts and then build links.
        7. Post adsense,cpa etc.
        Don't forget about social media.

If you write quality posts about a topic that interests you , you can get a lot of visitors from se, and soicial media. Than just monetize the traffic.

With $500 cleverly invested in seo you can start getting tons of traffic in a short time.
So, by implementing the money and time into blog, be consistent, and the main income comes from adsense, right?

        A more specific plan!

How /where is the micro niche site making $30-300/month from? adsense? amazon? or clickbank products?

And, when you mention - "Sell them on flippa for about 1 years worth of income. i.e. if your making $200 a month, expect to get about $2,000 for the site." - Does it mean that, I have to own the niche site for at least 1 year to sell it for the price of 1 year's worth of income?

Jayne, if you need money quickly, which is what you said you needed, you should probably either get more hours in your normal job, or get a second job to meet that immediate need, and then slowly but carefully work at developing your internet marketing business to build that ongoing passive income. You've been given a lot of good ideas, but as you can see, there are many many strategeis that can be used, and it takes a while to work out what you're comfortable with and what's going to work for you. I would very strongly recommend that you either find a mentor, or follow a step by step course in whatever path you decide to go down. Trying to do it on your own is very challenging, and statistics show that most newbies give up once they hit a few hurdles, or the money doesn't start to flow after a few months. I wish you all the best!

      Hi Jane,
Here's one that won't take much time....or money....to establish you as an expert.

Every day, I'm amazed at the numer of local businesses that are not gathering email addresses from their customers. Except for a few large chains, NOBODY is doing it.They should be promoting coupons, new menu items, etc, etc..

Get some business cards made up with some type of Internet Marketing Consultant title.
Get an aWeber (or whatever) account and learn it inside out and sideways.
Do some homework on how to build a list....from fishbowls to qr codes.

Go to businesses that you're already a customer of....like pizza.
Go when it's not too busy and place an order.
A business owner is much friendlier to a "customer".

Offer a freebie....three months. No commitment...... Show some positive measurable results and then charge $175.00 a month after that to manage the list and send out a weekly mailing.

Make them some money and they'll have a receptive ear for many other services (that you can also outsoure if it's over your head)

Also, keep in mind that if you help a particular business...like a pizza shop....their competition will be very willing to talk to you.

      Good luck,
      Jerry

I think it is more appropriate to choose a business model that you want to get into.

An internet marketing plan should be tailored towards your business model.

What are you good at? What are you interested in? Are you passionate about anything? If you can develop a business around a niche that you are interested in you can make money online and enjoy doing it.

As of December 31, 2011 Plimus.com will cease allowing to sell these types of products on Plimus because they claim the refund rate is too high (about 24%) . As such, a new payment processor or program is required. Since I cannot be bothered setting up on a new one and want to move on to others things, I have decided to let someone else take over the site
Who would sell a business that is making $17,000 a month based on that reason? Better yet, who would sell it with a reserve set below it's current bid ($400)? Sounds a bit fishy if you ask me.

I recommend trying the Profit Niche Course for Amazon. I paid for it last week and it's the first course I've found that I've liked, and I have already been making commission on one of my sites but wanted to learn how to do other sites. BTW I'm a newbie to internet marketing myself.

Here's a link to the thread where I purchased and it's only $29.66 right now:

This is a step by step guide and videos on how he makes money on Amazon, from starting with a wordpress blog on up. Very easy to follow.

    Hi Jayne,

Hold on to your money, or buy yourself a nice present. As someone already said here, with your question you are practically inviting others to take advantage of you.

Since you do not have any experience, 99.9% are the chances that whatever you invest it in, you will never see any of that money back.

    Good luck & Happy Holidays!

Yes, read up in the War Room and decide what method you'd like to pursue (to begin with, at least). Buy the best WSO for that method you can find, and don't buy anything else. Run with it for a few months until you have some cash coming in regularly and passively, then (and only then) you can think about diversifying. Good luck!

I have did quite a bit of research about what is inside the War Room. However, what I more like to know now is a method that I'd like to pursue - there are so many methods out there.

Jayne, I can tell you that I just set up my website within the last 3 days and I'm already getting hits to my website. Must be doing something right.

Besides, what he teaches isn't new and it does work if you ask members on here that use Amazon. He just goes over how he does it specifically to make it work for him. I actually just logged into my Amazon Affiliate account to see if I had any clicks. I didn't think I'd get a sale, which I didn't, but I did receive 27 clicks so far through my Amazon affiliate link. I use a tracking ID on Amazon to track conversations. I expected MAYBE 1 or 2, but not 27!

Oh and I've only had 22 unique clicks to my website! I hope someone orders soon.

Perhaps try Media Buying which is placing ads on high traffic websites to get traffic to affiliate or cost-per-action offers. Join the Media Buy Coach forum for 50 bux a month $1 trial to start and you will get coaching from someone making well over a million a year from it.

Heck if you want you can learn all you need to learn about it right here, just spend the next few months learning all you can about it. Then pick a product to promote and spend some of that money to buy great ad placements from high traffic sites and be ready to Test Test Test different ads to see which work the best.

What I like about it is once you find a winning campaign you can scale it up and make a killing pretty quick. I have been learning all I can about it for the past month and I plan to get started with the same budget and see how it goes. The best thing you can do is stick to one thing and learn from someone who is making it work, then get to work.

    1. Read the All-in-One threads here in the Warrior Forum and find a method you like.
    2. Choose a method that you are good at-- or want to become good at.
    3. Join the War Room and learn everything you can about that method.

Why is everyone telling me to "choose" a method that I like... or passionate about?

How come no-one ever suggests a method?

Because nobody knows you, and you still haven't told us what you're good at. Can you write? Can you connect with people and have an impact on their lives? Can you sit there and copy & paste mind-bogglingly boring backlinks for hours upon hours every day?

What value can you provide in exchange for the money that you want? If you don't know, you have to go find it. And only you can do that, because you are the person who knows you best, and you are the person that has to live with your choice.

Also... Because we were once in the place that you are at right now, and eventually we listened to everyone who was telling us that, and finally started making money.

    Jayne,
Here's the reason no one is telling you which method to choose. It's like going on a dating site and asking everyone to tell you who to date. The man of my dreams might be your worst nightmare. Okay...it's not exactly the same. But you are asking a question that we can't answer for you.

There are multiple ways of making money online and they are all discussed in detail in this forum. But only you can decide which one matches your skill set and will hold your interest long enough for it to pay off for you.

Several people have suggested specific methods such as amazon review sites or niche blogs. If they sound interesting then pursue them further until you decide if it's something you want to try. If you have further questions about a specific method you can ask more questions and get answers related to that method. There are experts in every topic on this forum. As well as many people who think they are experts.

Become a blogger in a few easy steps:

    1. Find a niche that interest you.
    2. Research the keywords in google keyword tool
    3. Buy an appealing domain name (not keyword oriented). Better have a brandable domain.

I would have to say that I agree with this post for the most part. On the internet today, content is definitely king. You have to provide value. You must realize that, even though you have $500 to invest, success will not come overnight. Having your own blog that you update consistently will build credibility. As with any form of marketing, consistency is definitely the key to success.

First of all, you need to find out what you are interested in. If you are not clear on what you want, none of this advice will matter.

I suggest you first find a product or service that you are passionate about. Once you are clear on this, you need to develop a landing page where you can start getting subscribers. You will probably have to invest in a proper domain name and hosting fee to get your site running.

I recommend checking out a site like getsubscribers.com to start building your list.

The bottom line is that you need to invest in effective internet marketing courses so that you can grow your knowledge. Head to barnes and nobles or amazon.com and buy ewen chia's "how i made my first million on the internet and how you can too!". This book will give you some basic ideas regarding internet marketing. Without the proper knowledge, you will be throwing away you money.

I recommend doing a research on starting your own site with your own domain, along with researching autoresponders to build you list, and also researching the kind of product or service you want to offer.

Make sure you don't fall for phonies who just want to take your money. There is no shortcut for success. You must treat online marketing like a real business and it will give you real rewards.

You have already had some good advice in this thread, but let me give you my take on it.

There are many different ways to make money online, but as a newbie I strongly suggest that you start with a method that is simple to implement and where the "distance" between your work and your reward (money!) is short. The reason is that most newbies are enthusiastic in the beginning, but as soon as they stumble across even a minor problem many of them give up and start looking for the next "magic bullet".

A slightly "complicated" business such as importing products and building your own ecommerce store to market and sell those yourself has a lot more obstacles to overcome than a more simple method. ("Simple" does not mean "easy", you will still have to put in the work.)

Probably the simplest method is one suggested by someone else in this thread already, to provide services to other people like writing articles for example. However, I have a feeling that this is not what you are looking for...

You want a "money machine" that will produce cash 24/7 regardless if you work or not, right? There is nothing wrong with that, I have had many of those that have made me many millions of USD in profits over the years. Just be honest with yourself as to what you are looking for though, as this will help you to narrow down your options.

The next step up from doing work for others is probably publishing a book (or many) on Amazon Kindle or setting up an Adsense website. A Kindle book can be about anything that you have experience in, or even a completely fictional novel, (although I would go with a "how to" book for more predictable results since its easier to do keyword research). You don't need to write the entire book yourself, you can use some of that $500 to outsource part of the work and even use some PLR content (as long as you re-write it) to fill in the gaps.

Publishing a book on Amazon is a typical "money machine" type of business that will keep paying you for years without any further work needed from your side. The only problem is that its probably a relatively small "money machine" if you only publish one book, (which is mostly true for building an Adsense website as well). From my experience a kindle book that sells "ok" on amazon won't generate more than $50-$100 per month in profits, but others may have different experiences and done better. An Adsense website can make a lot more than that but requires more work in the form of updates, fresh content, new link acquisitions etc.

A "money machine" that will generate tens of thousands per month, (or more), can also be relatively "simple" to create, (remember: "simple" does not equal "easy").

I have done exactly that for the past decade with the following simple 3-step method:

      1. Research a number of high paying niches that will pay a great affiliate commission, and find a number of keywords that are "buyer keywords" in that niche, and where the ranking competition is reasonable, (this step can take a lot of time).

      2. Create a trustworthy and high quality website, (both design and content is important), in the chosen high-paying niche and review and recommend one or several products as an affiliate in that niche.

      3. Drive targeted traffic to that website by getting good organic (free) rankings on Google for your chosen keywords.

      Rinse & Repeat.

Most people will fail at step 3 so that is where you will need to focus if you want to succeed with this method. A lot of people will also "fail" at step 1. They will still succeed to some extent in that they actually make money, but only a fraction of what they could have done if they had chosen a better niche.

Step 2 can easily and cheaply be outsourced, (even with your small budget), as long as you are willing to review the content yourself in the end to make sure its top quality. Learning to design and build websites is probably the least productive use of your time if your goal is to make a lot of money. There is a huge amount of great designers and programmers available at low cost.

So in conclusion, start with something really simple like publishing a book on Amazon Kindle and get a small taste for making money online. (It's one of the best feelings in the world to know that there will be more money in your account when you wake up the next morning even though you were sleeping or on holiday or whatever. I never tire of it even after more than a decade in Internet Marketing. ). You can then you can re-evaluate and go for a slightly more complicated method once you have gained some more experience.

My last advice would be the following.

A lot of people on this forum focus on making money by selling information products that are mainly focused on "how to make money"!? Don't get stuck in this field as a newbie. Surely its a profitable niche with lots of hungry buyers, but from my own experience I can promise you that there are loads of other niches that are far less competitive and where you can actually have some credibility.

Let me give you an example.

If you have a dog and have experience from transporting your dog on an commercial airplane then you already have experience from one out of many thousands of high-paying niches, (pet travel by airplane), and you will come across as far more believable and trustworthy in that niche than if you try to teach someone "how to make a million online", (especially since that is something you haven't actually done yet).

Hmm, all i can say is starting an online business is not a "Get-rich quick scheme". You need time to learn, to trial and error, to see what works and what doesn't. You can't expect to make thousands of dollars literally overnight.

I suggest you invest 37 bucks into the war-room. And begin to learn from there.

As you can see, I'm also new to this forum.. But I have gained and learn a lot from the war-room

Hope this help & God bless,

I would suggest buying this WSO and going with this. It's one of the best I've ever seen, and if you're not afraid to speak to a few people then the potential is huge. It's gotten rave reviews from everyone who's purchased (as you'll see) and I will be getting started on this in the next couple of days (I've also bought this one myself).

The fact that it blends online and offline methods puts more control in your hands. You can also minimize your investment and $500 should put you in the driver's seat. Check it out.

Go on Amazon and search for the top Kindle books to get an idea for a product.

Hire someone to write your book and publish it on Amazon for the Kindle.

If you have money left use it to promote your book.

    Hi Jayne,

Don't buy anything yet and subscribe to newsletter from different reputable Internet Marketer. Good Marketer usually give good content away for free to beginners.

I would thoroughly look at different WSOs and focus at all the comments from WF users that are involved or registered to a specific WSO. Than, once you've found a few good ones (WSOs) I would look at the Internet Marketer's profile that have promoted that WSO and see if he has a good reputation in the forum. More often than not, a reputable Marketer member to WF has more than one offer (WSO). Nothing is stopping you for looking at all the comments and critics in all his WSOs so that you'll have a better idea of the Internet Marketer's reputation.

Once you've registered into a program (WSO) stay focus so that you don't become overwhelmed by the information overload of Internet Marketing in general.

Don`t pay more than 497$ for a program (WSO), there's a lot of good ones at a lot less than 497$. Post your questions before getting involved on the type of commitment, the forecast expenses during the program, the type of skills needed, etc.

    Regards

    David

You are asking an impossible question, really. ANY Internet marketing model will work.... as long as you learn it, DO IT and stay focused on doing consistently. See, the big problem is continuing to do something once you have lost focus, haven't yet made money or heard about the new shiny object in the WSO section.

You seem to be looking for a simple answer like "Adsense works the best" or "Amazon is the way to go". Everyone will have a completely different answer because everyone has had a different experience.

I personally know people making $3000 to $20,000 per month on Amazon. I know people making $10,000 to $15,000 per month on Adsense. I know people making $20,0000 to $50,000 a month flipping websites. We all know product creators making a million in a month. I know people making $3000 to $35,000 per month publishing Kindle books.

It all makes money if you do it and keep doing it until it works. It's about never quitting in the process. That is where most people get lost. They say "Adsense doesn't work", "Amazon sucks and doesn't work", etc.

We don't know your skills, talents or interests. You have to look at each model, pick one to try, attempt to spend as little money as possible and give it your full, devoted attention until it works.

By far, the fast money is in offering services. But, that is NOT the long-term financial plan you want to pursue. Otherwise, you are just working a job like any other. Look for residual income streams. Diversify. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. And, above all else, BUILD A LIST from the very beginning.

For mentoring, I think the very best for newbies is Chris Farrell. Google him. He is easy to understand, a true sweetheart and he built his business from nothing starting in 2008, I believe. You will love his membership.

      Good luck!

    Building a list.

Buy OptimizePress, I think it's $97. This will help you with everything.

Domain + Hosting for a year. Should be about $80-$100.

An aweber subscription. First month is only $1!

Then create a freebie product and send it out in solo ads. Could probably spend $300 on a solo ad of about 800-1000 clicks. Then you should have your own tiny list. But you get the point. Build that list.

If you have a good, loyal list of about 5000-10000 people. Some will pay $1000 for you to post them a solo ad. You do that once a week for a year. That's $52'000 a year!
