FINALLY!!! My first $100 day with Amazon

I'm so excited. I finally had my first $100 day with Amazon yesterday. I have been working at Amazon for almost a year now and have been making around $300/month for the past several month. This month I have made around $600 so far. It's not a whole lot but it is really nice. I know it will go down now after Christmas but I finally have my own strategies and they are working well.

Just want to offer some motivation to others on here. Just keep working and you will get there. Stop jumping from thing to think and just focus on one strategy to make money. If you are doing Amazon don't do like a lot of the Amazon courses tell you to where they say to keep building a huge army of sites. It's far easier to just focus on a couple and build them up. Get lots of reviews and helpful info on the few sites which will actually help the visitors rather than building up many sites that don't really help people. Just my two cents anyways.

Cheers and happy holidays

I'd be happy with $300 a month but I've made about $120 so far this month. Heck.. $100 a day is awesome! Congrats. Just curious but do you work on mini niche sites for your Amazon commissions?

Hi. In the past I was building many review sites that each had about 5 reviews each but now I am only focusing on a few sites and my main one right now has 15 product reviews at 500+ words each and I am soon going to be adding more informational articles as well that don't have any affiliate links so it looks a little better in Google's eyes too.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually working on my first site. I've read a few Amazon ebooks and even took a course which has helped a lot. I'm applying some of what I learned from each to my site. I'm planning on doing all the article content right now, but keep updating atleast once a week once there's a few articles up. Goal is $3k a month in 2012 LOL just want to see if I could do that much.

Congrats! I agree with your philosophy as well. When you just have one or two sites in larger niches, they are not only easier to manage, but they gain authority in the search engines so that it becomes easier and easier for you to outrank your competitors over time. You will also get backlinks naturally from places you didn't know existed and that you wouldn't be able to get yourself that high high page rank and Alexa rankings. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations. One thing to keep in mind though, don't put all your eggs in one basket. I'm in California and Amazon gave me the boot a few months ago because of a law passed by our money-grubbing politicians. They didn't think of the unintended consequences of killing off the business of over 20,000 work from home operators.

Amazon has since reinstated my account due to a temporary deal being worked out between themselves and the state of Kalifornia. I'm sure our out of touch elected representatives will come up with yet another way to take from the rich (which to them is anyone who makes more than minimum wage) and give to themselves. When that eventually happens, I'm sure Amazon will once again clobber a bunch of us who are sending them customers.

The bottom line is, my business suffered. Yes, I was able to get SOME of it back, but I don't know how long it will take, if ever, to get back to the level it was before outside influences tampered with it. One thing I've learned....

Create multiple sources of income. If one dries up, you still have the others.

Thanks for the advice but I don't think I will have to worry about the Amazon issues like many people in many states have. I'm from Canada so I should be safe haha. Still good advice. Thanks

That's what I love about living in Canada.. they didn't catch up yet with the online affiliates and I hope they will never!

I am working on an Authority niche review site as I don't believe in the mini sites and I did write a post about them, Google will slap them, in my opinion if you want to be successful and keep the Google love! you have to understand your visitors, I wrote my own method in this post http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ed-online.html , I think this is the way to go with Amazon if you want to stay successful , alot of users will disagree with me..but that's how I see it

And yes I spelled seriously wrong in that post lol

Congrats man! If you keep working on your site for few months, you will triple your earnings

You need to sell for a little over $2000 to get that commission (assuming you get 6% commission).

So 2000/13 = $153 for each product on average.

Ya on average that is about right. Some around $100 and some a couple hundred but ya it does average out to about $150/product

I am getting about 160 UV's per day lately which has really made my earnings go up. I am now in the first and second positions on Google for my main keywords.

Congrats cweber! $100/day is a great accomplishment!

Amazon is a great way to earn money.

What I love about them, is that people who clicks on your links very often end up buying other similar products or even more than one product at a time.

    Good Luck Chris!

I just got into Amazon this month and I've made $86.58. I have my stores across 4000 webpages, but I think I have the wrong products in my A-store or something. It would be sweet to figure out what sells. Im sure there is plenty of info on this site.

Yes, it would be nice to see your strategy laid out.

Congratulations on your great success and it's really great advice to stick with something for a while until you work out the kinks. It can be too easy at times to get distracted with new ideas and pathways to success. But starting over every time something sounds promising can, in the end, keep you in constant "start" mode without seeing much return.

      Keep up the good work!

Nice work! have you done much backlinking to get to your 140 UVs or so per day? I love amazon since they have virtually anything you could possibly want to promote. I've made about $5 this month on amazon but it's been on inexpensive products. Even that $5 is exciting because this was just from humorous articles, not even review sites. those are next

    Congratulations!

I completely agree with you, websites that actually help people are far more effective, and in the process you're making the web a better place, too. Just look at the amount of useless websites when you search [product name] review...

I've been looking into getting started with Amazon lately, but I'm wondering - how can you create an authority website promoting Amazon products? All I've seen so far is review sites and plain sites that just give information about products.

  • Good job, mate. That's a nice victory so close before new year. Must feel extra good.

    Now maximize if possible!

I recently switched some of my themes for my Amazon sites to a more simpler own and it seemed to work for conversions. Wish I had known sooner.

That's fantastic news. Creating a decent income on Amazon is hard, and a lot of people would be happy to make 100 dollars a month with it.

Congratulations to you, and wish you to continue your success.

2 - which course have you taken?
3 - How many websites do you have?

Great job! This proves that sticking with one thing that basically works and keep working on it (tweaking etc..) is at the end of the day the bast way to not only make money online, but gain more confidence as a IMer.

It seems simple but many cannot stick with one thing and end up making nothing...

    Well dane!

Wow! This means that your hard work actually paid off. I am really inspired by the will power you have shown. In the past I was building many review sites. I have been through ditched and down in dumps when it came to the starting of my career and while reading your statements it refreshed my old memories. I have sticked to my work over making money online too and today I earn $700 per month. Really happy to find someone as hard working as me.

I wish you best of luck for future buddy
