I'm looking for some OCR software. Preferably something I can download. I went to turn an image into editable text. This is an actual image, not a PDF, (though I can save it as a PDF if necessary.)

Does anyone know something I can use?

There are many OCR software that you can use for converting image into text. You might have some of them already installed in your computer, but you don't even know that they exist. You can use the any of the following OCR software:

    - Microsoft OneNote 2007
    - Microsoft Office Document Imaging
    - GOCR(It's not that great, but works for simple text.)
    - SimpleOCR(It can detect hand write. You will get 14 days trial.)
    - TopOCR

The best point is that each one of them is free. I think Microsoft Office Document Imaging will be enough for your task. You should try a few of them to see which one gives the best result for your task.

You can also buy OCR software. There are some good OCR software that you can use if you need this extensively, but I believe these free software will work good enough for your need.
    Good Luck.

Just a side note, if you want the absolute best OCR software out there. Amazingly it doesn't break the bank, go get ABBYY FineReader, it's just over $100 and is totally the best and one for the most versatile to be found.

Took me a while to find this out, hence my post!
