How to monetize this website... ?

Hello,

I have niche site which mainly promotes clickbank affiliates. However, I haven't made any sale yet. (Website talks about relationships, dating etc...)

My site gets 100 hits per day from google/yahoo/bing web search and 500 hits per day from google IMAGE search (-> I'm redirecting them to my site). So at the end of the day my site has ~600 hits.

What would be the best way to monetize this kind of website?

Thanks...

Just asking what kind of monetization would you use in this case. CPA,ADSENSE,CLICKBANK or something else?

What is your website address? Since you are promoting affiliate products, people coming to your site may not be finding them good enough or your content is not strong enough to convert the traffic. Do you review products? If yes, do you write unbiased reviews?

How many visitors per day and how many visits? Hit count is usually a lot higher than visitors. And what keywords are they using when coming to your site? That might give you some kind of clue to how people are finding your site.

It IS pretty difficult to discuss what the problem might be without seeing the site but if you're talking about a Clickbank store sort of site, I find that it is rare that affiliates using these kinds of sites make many sales for products that I am a vendor for. Review sites tend to do a bit better.

I know this isn't much help but I'm sort of flying blind here. Loose rule of thumb for me is that once I'm hitting 75 visitors a day (not hits... visitors) that is when I usually can count on making consistent sales. My sites are pretty targetted though.

This site gets 600 unique visitors (not hits) per day. But as I said before - most of them come from google image search and they are not targeted visitors... They come to my site from such keywords as "sexy women" "sexy girl" (however my site is not some kind of adult/porn. Just a review-site for clickbank products). How to get benefits from them?

Chances are it's guys that are getting to your site from those pics. Chances are the names and/or alt tags on your pictures are those words.

Guys can be pretty easy to sell to if you know how. Guys want more... what? Wimmens! I know there are a few PUA (pickup artist) and get more "lovin" products on CB. Maybe you've gotten yourself into the PUA niche without even meaning to?!

I'm not great at selling to guys. I think there's a certain approach that you need to have... sort of beat them over the head with the stuff. I know that there are people out there that ARE really good at this though. I'd sort of move in that direction. If you're getting somewhat targetted traffic and you sort of know what they want then give it to them.

If the site is dating related I would think about signing up for affiliates that pay per lead.

If you can direct visitors to sign up at a dating site you will be paid per lead. For example I have sites that get many sign ups per day with payment at between £2.50 and £6.00 depending on whether the lead is male or female. You can also be paid more if they buy membership with payments of £40 + for membership etc.

This is just one way to monetize a dating related niche site.

  • This is simple, you will have to start with Google Adsense or any other pay per click advertisement program till the hits increase.
It wont be wise to promote affiliate products on it now.

Why would it make more sense for her to have Adsense on the site instead of an affiliate link for a CB product that could pay her $25+ a sale until traffic increases?

In that niche I would go with some CPA offers. There’s a ton of dating CPA offers out there. You could also do a page that reviews each offer, to give your visitors added value

I totally agree with him. The visitors that you get to your site are simply looking for information but not willing to spend a dime.

So offering a dating CPA offer into getting sexy girls on a date or get laid tonight will be a perfect match for them

      I hope this helps

I would start building an email list from your traffic. Then market to that list.

As someone have mentioned above, try dating CPA.

If you're a new to CPA, I suggest you try MaxBounty.com. I've been working with them and they have some pretty dating related offers there.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

You need to test a few different methods to find out which works best.

    Try CPA offers, try Adsense.

The important thing is to find out what works - but it only comes through some experimentation!

I'd try adsense first though personally...

You should keep up on the SEO to get more traffic from random dudes trying to look at hot chicks... in the meantime, put Adsense on your site while making sure you are staying within the rules of Adsense and not going over the limit with adult related content.

Also, you should have e-mail marketing set up so you can create a list and market clickbank products to that list. You'll build trust, and get more sales. Plus, you can reconnect with them and get them to come back to your site later.

    Hope that helps!

Can I see which site you are talking about?

The only problems I can guess with your information you gave me are, an untargeted market finding your page. And/or the page looks like it is just for sales.

Take a really critical look at your website. But look at it through the eyes of your customer.

Sending traffic to a page wont generate profits anymore. There needs to be something you have, that you convince them they really, really "need"

If you're getting 600 hits a day, at least 2% should become a lead. And at least 10% need to click on your offer. If not, they try redesigning it.

    Hope that helps.

If you want more info contact me.
