Newbie: What to expect from my first blog w/clickbank ad.

Hi everyone, i'm hoping to get some insight into a blog i've put online about a week ago. Its number one on the first page of google and i've gotten about 33 visitors so far. I'm not sure if this is normal or if my visits should be higher given my rank - if its my content that is detering people, my choice of clickbank ad or what. Also, my clickbank hop count is WAY higher than what Google says my visits are.

Any insight would help!

    Have you done some proper keyword research to find the keyword that you are currently ranking for?

    Are you actually ranking #1 or does it just appear that way if you are logged in to your Google account?

    If you are receiving more hops than Google visits where is your traffic coming from? What percentage is from Google and what percentage is referral or direct traffic.

    Are you logged into Google or any Google related programs like Google+? If so try logging out and refreshing your search results again.
    I don't know what you've done for SEO and stuff like that, but one week sounds really fast to get to number one.

    You can also try your search in Scroogle(dot)com to get a bit more accurate results.

    -What is the monthly exact search of the keyword you rank for?
    -Can we see your site? It's hard to tell what the problem is without seeing it.

    Im ranking for "bum exercises" with the quotes.(.org) Im in the first position, if im understanding correctly. I did purchase some backlinks but they havent been completed as of yet. I also used social marker and posted a link on twitter. 85% of my visitors are search traffic and the rest is direct(probably myself)

    I searched your keyword and you rank 6th for me. Maybe your results have been personalized.

    Your traffic level is pretty normal for that position. Things will be much better when you're on top 3.

    As for sales, you don't have enough stats to come up with a conclusion yet.

    Also, #6 is just one week is a pretty good start. Keep up the good work. However, I really suggest you do other types of advertising beside SEO. Never put your eggs in one basket. You are one algorithm change away from being screwed.

    Thats me! Im ranking number one only when I put quotes around bum exercises. Thanks for taking a look. Is there another type of advertising you would suggest?

    It's pointless looking at what position you rank for with the term in quotes as almost no one searches like that.

    Best place to check your ranking is Scroogle

    Your site is currently ranked #8 for bum exercises

    The keyword "bum exercises" gets:

    1600 GMS
    58 LMS

    where LMS is based on US traffic.

    What country are your targeting as "bum" is not a commonly used term in the US, hence why the local search volume is so low.

    If you look at the term in Google Insights you'll see that the UK and Australia account for the bulk of the searches for that term.

    The good news is you are ranked #5 for bum exercises on google.co.uk, so keep targeting the UK traffic.
