Autoresponder curiousity

I have a question for all you "gurus" and autoresponder users out there.

I receive lots of email from people, some I have subscribed to and others that are just spam.

The good ones have a link to unsubscribe. The "others" have either URLS you need to copy and paste or a reply email you have to actually send a reply to IF you want to be unsubscribed from a list you never subscribed to in the first place.

My question is...why do you waste people's time by
1. not providing a clickable unsubscribe link?
2. asking people to click a reply email to unsubscribe?
3. all the other combinations I can't even remember at this minute?

I am more tempted to unsubscribe from anything that has any of these things than if it has a genuine unsubscribe link.

I also find I unsubscribe from some emails and I am assuming these are the real spammy ones because they just keep coming and I can't seem to stop them.

I look forward to reading your replies.

Yeah mate, they just want to keep people on their lists.

I unsubscribe from the junk - especially if they're making it hard to unsubscribe. Shows me they're not honest people.

I've been experiencing the same thing as well. Apparently, people I have subscribed to are selling my e-mail info.

When they have no unsubscribe button, I just mark the sender as spam and never get an e-mail from them again.

My question is...why do you waste people's time by
    1. not providing a clickable unsubscribe link?
    2. asking people to click a reply email to unsubscribe?
I don't know. Maybe they hear that "the money is in the list" and thought the bigger the list, the more money they'll make.

Honestly, I never use my main email with marketers I don't know or don't trust. I have a 2nd email that they can bomb day and night. It's all part of the biz.

I also like to read the good and bad email swipes, so I don't complain, there is lots to learn from other IMers.

Plus you wouldn't be complaining about emails once you begin getting spammed by text... now that's not easily digested. =D

They are just amateurish and don't know what they are doing, or maybe they can't afford to pay monthly for a good autoresponder. Too bad they don't know about this forum so they could get better at email

you can report the emails you cant stop and that will blacklist them, that gets the process started, depending on your mail service provider you have options there most of the time,

Now, The reason why you see these annoying things you speak of is for exactly what you probably are thinking, there are good honest people out there like you and me, then you have the undercrust, sell you a gold watch from a inside a jacket in dark alley type folks

These are the people that do this to you, these are the people that "scrape" emails- this is where you unsubscribe, then they just go to another squeeze page take your email. copy paste into the form and sub you to another list, these are the people who will hack your stuff and mail you phiche schemes, so beware

anytime you see emails like that get off the list anyway you can, report it, mark it as spam, use your service provider options to block it, if you need to know how to report these types go to google and type in how to report suspicious emails, it'll tell you all about it, you can report it to the government ( not to sure about that idea, at least not this day and age what with all the happenings and goings on ) or you can purchase a subscription to sites that police this stuff for you

They come from all over the place. I have tried blocking and some still get through.
Many are yahoo and Hotmail email accounts. They have some techniques that mean they can keep sending no matter how I stop them.
