I am starting a website on relationship issues. So i wanted to know whether it is allowed to promote similar types of product of two sellers on my website and/or through promotional emails? And also is it advisable?

    Of course you can. It's your website and your emails. It's your prerogative to promote whatever products you wish...

    I would add, don't spam your list with multiple hard sell type emails, and similarly, your website should be packed with information on relationships. Give away something free so that your visitors will want to join your email list.

    That way, you will have the golden opportunity to build a relationship with your list. They will be the cornerstone of your internet income.

    In the past, I have not seen it as an issue at all. However, just to be safe, you should look at the product you are going to be promoting. Look at the terms of service and/or requirements for affiliates. If there is nothing that states otherwise, go right ahead.

    I have a few websites that offers reviews for multiple products that are very similar to each other. I have yet to have a problem with it.
