List building question

I'm working on various Squidoo lenses for the upcoming year, many of which include various toys. A lot of people preach the "build a list" sermon. I'm just honestly lost when it comes to what to offer someone when they visit my toy lenses. I certainly can't afford to give them a free toy for signing up.

Any thoughts on what I can offer to get someone to sign up? Maybe I've just spent too many hours research and my brain is fried, idk.

    You could offer a free report on the hottest selling toys, most dangerous toys, etc.

    It's worth thinking about who the people buying the toys are.

    If it's parents or grandparents etc and what they might be thinking or wondering. Personally I bought a load of toys for kids and had ZERO idea what was hot or not and even what to buy for specific age groups.

    Like anyone spending money I want to know I'm getting the most *bang for my buck* so there's another guide. Best presents under $10, under $50, under $100 guaranteed to keep your child happy.

    Be aware that building a list from Squidoo lenses is a bit awkward as you can't put your signup box code directly in a lens (you used to be able to, but no more). As far as I know the only direct way you can use currently is to link to a squeeze page from the lens - for example, make a jpg of your list signup box, put the jpg in the lens and link i8t to the squeeze page.
