I made my first $100 by selling an old Nokia cell phone on eBay in 1997-ish.

After that, I got into the habit of selling everything I was no longer using to avoid clutter and make extra cash.

These days, eBay fees and postage fees are too expensive to make it worth it, unless items are of a high value.

I started my online career by getting employed by an IT company then I shifted to writing blogs. It was there that I felt I made my first decent dollar... Then I also tried affiliate marketing when I came to know offerdaddy and I'm going for it until now... :) Hope this helps!

I made my first dollar online through dropshipping.

I went all crazy for salehoo a few years ago and got burned by a few bad suppliers.

I then turned to eBay and found a good supplier by asking a top seller if he would be interested in doing dropshipping for me. He gave me a link to his website and I created my own using a free zymic template.

Since I was banking on a fashion fad, the trend finally died down and I started looking for other options. That's when I discovered freelancing. I'm still making money as a freelancer to this day.

I still use adsense, but it is far from my primary source of income. It's still nice to use on some websites, but I like having more control over the ads on bigger sites.

I wasn't able to sell any product initially but was able to build some downlines.

Next was the plugin profit site by Stone Evans.

Mine was apsense/adsense stuff where in you have to view a certain page for a few seconds and you will earn dollars. But it took me 3 days before I earned $1. Hahahah it's so funny and very time consuming that is why I discontinue the job.

Thanks for making this awesome post! The diversity of how we all started is amazing. So I made my first dollar online by article writing on IWriter. I needed some extra money to spend on my website hosting and such. Today I'm doing affiliate marketing full time with a lot of success. Article writing was not something i really enjoyed so I don't currently do that at IWriter. However I still do have to write posts at my website if that counts haha.

When I was 12, I bought an Olympus D310 Digital Camera with a whopping 50MB of memory on eBay for cheap on Auction. Used it for a few months and then resold it back on eBay and made $50 or so.

For the last ~15 years or so, I've found ways to rinse, wash and repeat this process to the tune of buying a few million dollars or items on eBay per year and reselling them in other marketplaces.
