I may have peed my pants a little when I saw I'd made a sale.

I made my first sale with a Clickbank product through Google Adwords but that was in the days when it was affordable and you could link straight to a sales page. Long gone are those days!

It's a wonderful feeling when you make that first sale.

Wow, this brought good old memories back.

I made my first sale when I was 19, thats 15 years ago.

It was a small company in Sweden, selling safes, in need of SEO work. The CEO of the company really wanted to get the most out of his new site and early saw the searchengines importance. Thats even before there was something called SEO.

At the time it was Altavista that was the most important SE.
Using simple optimization work such as Meta tags, keywords in titles etc I managed them to rank for the swedish words for safes, security locks and so on.

Beleive it or not, I just made a Google search for the terms (in swedish) and my old clients webpage still is on page one.

How cool is that?

My very first sale was a membership to the Warrior Forum back in the days when it was quite expensive to join and had an affiliate program.

The cheque duly arrived and my bank here in the UK wanted more than its value to cash it so it stayed in a drawer. Even after I made better banking arangements I never cashed that $25 cheque. It meant more to me than the few dollars it represented.

I remember showing it to my wife and saying, "Look! If I can get one cheque I can get thousands!"

And I did.

Sadly, when we moved house that symbolic cheque got lost. I wish I had framed it!

It marked the beginning of a new life for me and my family and proof positive that this is a real business that can generate real income.

Mine was affiliate marketing. Didn't have the knowledge back then to create my own products. Adwords campaign to squeeze page to affiliate offer. Can't do that these days though!

Now I concentrate on list building via free methods and solo ads, relationship building with my lists and then email marketing.

Did my first WSO back in Jan and have also re-formatted the same and published it on the kindle platform. Not tried that before so will let you know how it goes!

But you NEVER forget your 1st sale! It's a great feeling.

I was terrified before releasing it.. What if my product sucks? Is it really worth money?? What about the guarantee? Will people just buy it then ask for money back?? Fears and doubts clouded everything

Finally calmed myself down, uploaded it and started promoting it.. Made my first sale about a week later.

Now selling an average of 1 or 2 per week plus a few more products available on the site

IM is well worth the risks!!

I developed my reputation by giving away great information in the Offline forum for three months.

Started developing traffic to my site by posting technique videos, and asking for opt-in to see them.

Then I put a link in my sig to an offer on a landing page on my own website, ie. NOT a WSO.

A week later someone in Australia bought. It was a Friday night. I will never forget the experience of realizing someone who I'd never met trusted enough to invest in my product. Yeah it was only $20, and I now sell it for much more than that, but the psychological boost was most important.

My first sale was directly on my site. Traffic came through advertising. I waitd for people to come to my site and they never arrived (at least those buyer). Therefore I went with advertisement. It works when you have the right product!

Back in 2008, I bought PotPieGirl's Squidoo programme and buit 4 lenses! I was promoting clickbank products-- How to learn French-- and after a couple of weeks I got 2 sales! I was really new to IM and didn't check my lenses for a while but when I saw my CB account with 2 sales, it was an amazing feeling!!

I created a simple software program that created what I called a capture page. This was before the term Squeeze Page appeared in 2003. I did not have a list yet so I did co-registration to get a list of 1,000 subscribers.

That gave me enough power online to do ad swaps with other people who had a list around 1,000 subscribers. I made my first sale with my very first adswap. You just need to put a plan together and then put your plan into action.

I created a blogger review of an acne product on clickbank and wrote articles and submit to ezinearticles to promote my blogger blog. I made my first $17 commission in about a weeks time after doing so

I say, you are asking the wrong question.

Most are not making money with their first method. I made my first $20 from ad sense. Now, that is the last thing I would do. I would probably lose money if I put ad sense on my site.

In the beginning, everything is a learning curve. The key is to build a list. It doesn't matter how you are making money. You should have a list of consumers, customers, or freebie takers to convert.

You shouldn't be thinking how people made their first sale. You should be thinking how people made their first $1000 day. This will give you a better idea on what works.

Make a plan on how you see the big picture. If you think small you will receive small results. Think big and focus on your plan, you will see bigger results.

I just don't want to see you chasing your tail trying method after method. I did the same thing for 6 months. It was a lot of time and money wasted.

We have promoted a sales thread for our services in Warrior For Section last May 2012 and eventually some of our fellow warrior wants to try our service and that's how I make my first sale. Until now that person who tried our service is still working on us for some projects.

Warrior Forum is a great place to go to promote your product and service. All you need to do is to take action and socialize with our people.

My journey started similarly. Familiar with "Bum Marketing" techniques, and having read PotPieGirl's ebook, I wrote four Squidoo lens. But instead of promoting products, I simply wrote about topics that interested me.

The first money I ever made online was a few dollars from Adsense clicks in my Lenses. I stopped using that account, but still get between $2 and $10 a month for clicks on those four articles. haha!

I used to make youtube videos in the ice hockey niche. I taught people 'how to shoot the puck' 'how to play with confidence', etc.

Just a bunch of different tips. I gained a lot of subscribers and they bought anything off me. I eventually made a video on an awesome hockey product, I tested it out for them and showed them everything.

It was incredible how many sales started to come in.

Than I went back to all my other videos and put annotations to that video. Example, 'learn to improve your shot'

People clicked the annotation and it took them right to my sales video. : )

Worked like a charm.

You can do this in any niche!!!!!!

I made my first sale by creating simple product review sites for various affiliate products from Clickbank. It was a lot easier to rank in the search engines back then if you chose your keywords carefully and SEO'd your page right and built a lot of backlinks. I also drove traffic through article submission, blog commenting, and forum posting.

Now a days I use paid advertising like PPC. It always generates a positive ROI.

I wish I would have started building a list from day one because that's what I've made the most money from over the years (and still do).

A simple way to make money online is promoting products using Youtube videos. I was making a good amount of money until YouTube banned my account due to a competitor using becoming unethical.

You can upload informative videos to one account based on one product. You can either build a list from that video or send them directly to the product.

1st way is harder but pays in the long run.

2nd is cheaper and you make less money
