A clickbank vendor replied asking my clickbank i.d?

I had emailed one of the top vendors regarding his new launch, just a normal email wishing him best of luck and getting my name out to him.

at first I wasn't expecting a reply.. But he replied back by saying..

" thanks, which cb i.d will you be using?"

I replied to him with my cb i.d but i am not sure if it was the right move.. what purpose could he have asking my cb i.d??

You wanted to make contact and he showed interest in you. There's nothing malicious about it imho.

    Hi,

He thinks that you are interested in promoting his product or that you already are promoting it so he asked for your id in order to see what you've done or keep an eye on what you do in the future.

It's not exactly bad. I don't see how someone could do something outright malicious with just that information.

The normal reason is just relationship-building. It's pretty harmless. There's the outside chance that if you show a lot of interest and start making regular sales, they might even offer you something extra as an incentive for "best affiliates". Although technically you're entitled to "privacy" over it, in reality it's not "sensitive information". I don't think you need to worry about it at all.

They need your password to get in so don't worry about it. I have had to put in my affiliate id to affiliate pages in the past. It most likely was just something he asks when coming across a affiliate.

Btw, if I make a purchase via clickbank, will I be able to see the vendor's real name?
