What drives you crazy about affiliate programs?

What drives you crazy about affiliate programs as an affiliate? You could name names or protect the guilty--up to you.

For example, one major affiliate program has a section for tools like emails, links, banners, etc. that is mind numbing. You have to scroll through page after page and there is no rhyme or reason of the order.

What about you?

I hate it when a Clickbank affiliate program has an email opt-in and the worst is that they try to steal my commission by sending follow up emails that send the visitors to a direct paypal link.

I second this. It is disgraceful to see so many product authors stealing commissions. Not only is it greedy and stealing, but it can wreck their reputation.

I like to go thru the customer experience so I can see where the leaks are. It's not just Clickbank vendors who can defeat their affiliates. For example I won't promote products on a website that has a conspicuous phone number.

I hate when website owners boast about their affiliate program...but you can't find anywhere what commission they're willing to pay you. I always just pass, because if they're not willing to share their commission details, they must not really care about their affiliates.

I also hate when merchants launch a new product, but they haven't given affiliates any access to a new affiliate link to promote it...they make affiliates wait.

But -- I love when merchants keep you up to date on their newest product to promote...and I really, really love it when they let their affiliates promote their new product first before they actually promote it to their own list...they really treat their affiliates special. Those are the affiliate programs you want to keep sticking with.

That my state has such high taxes some affiliates programs won't work with me based on that. I would like a option to pay a larger chuck of the taxes for the program (haha) rather then get auto rejected.
