Most Amazing Bounce Rate EVER!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to share the joy I am feeling at this time. A friend of mine and myself put together a new website about a month or so ago.

Our bounce rate then was around 77% with about an average of 175 unique visitors per day.

NOW, our bounce rate hovers around 3.72% with around an average of 1520 unique visitors per day. Most of them staying on for over 12 minutes.

72% are new visitors

And we only have around 80 pages up so far. The site will continually grow.

This just made me soo happy I just had to share with you all.

What were your improvements? What is your Niche? pls provide more infos because then this info is totally useless for me.

The site is in the spirituality niche.

Some of the improvements were a restructure of the look of the website, and mainly putting up loads of content. In the Spirituality niche, people like to read more, not just flip from page to page.

We also added a bunch of audio (teachings) that visitors could listen to for free, as well as download (for a small fee).

I also added a opt-in form to the sidebar a few days ago. Since I did this we have gotten 844 sign ups.

Congratulations. A bounce rate below 10% is pretty awesome!

I'd also be curious to get to see the site you're referring to, since the improvements you've made sounds nothing short of amazing.

  Right now we are monetizing it by selling the mp3 downloads and recommending books and such from Amazon and other places. Later on we will look at other ways to monetize.
