100,000 Knols - But where are they?

Was just reading that on Jan 16th Google reached 100,000 knols (read about it here Official Google Blog: 100,000th knol published).

The thing is, I hardly ever (if ever) see knols when searching in Google. Is it just me or have others experienced the same?

It's just so odd, isn't it? You would think Google's own content site would rank well. Maybe knols do though and I just haven't noticed.

    Yeah I agree, the logic side is telling me at least get a couple knols created. Logically one would think that they would rank very well in the serps eventually... I wonder though, be interesting to hear other views as well.
