How much would you pay Matt Cutts to......

INTERNET MARKETING

If I were forced to think of the most valuable asset in the world to businesses - I think it would be Matt Cutts from Google. Just imagine if you were him. I know he has lots of cash already (stock options, etc), but could you imagine what he could do if he decided to leave Google?

I think he would be the highest paid consultant in the world - bar none. If I were him, I might consider leaving Google and then charging $500,000 for a 1 hour session.

Of course, his value would diminish over time, but in the first two weeks - I believe he could easily clear 80 hours X $500,000 = $40 million.

Your thoughts?

40 millions for 2 weeks of work. Sound good to me. However his contract with Google most likely prohibits him from divulging any information to anyone for a certain amount of time if he were to leave the company.

Semantics - shemantics! These are rarely enforceable (OK sometimes they are) - but if he were smart (and of course a bit unethical), he could just take a plane ride to Jamaica and enjoy his new life there -- ya mon!

I hate to break it to you guys but Matt is not told everything that top engineers and other higher ups in Google decide on cooking up with the algorithms and whole brain of the Big G. He still knows a good deal but there are things that even he doesn't have clearance for.

I've freelanced for Google before and I don't think that most people that work for the company know everything that is going on - just like people that work at other tech companies around here in Silicone Valley.

There is an old saying - you'll get information on a need to know basis.

Are you all insane? Do you realize he is the director of MIS-communications for Google.... Is everyone here scared of Google? They are a search engine not the firing squad!!!! People are calling them the big G like they are tough guys!

This is the dumbest thread since it is pure 100% BULL.... Thrown crap out there and see if it will stick..... Just plain old silly.....

If I'm the business owner, why would I pay $500,000 per hour? He's not even the most intelligent person in the world. I'd rather pay other business consultant that has at least 10 years of experiences

Haha ! It's sound funny.Matt Cutt is payed more enough to live his life in a deluxe way.Also money is not everything.He have got money and fame then why should he leave google.
