Click Bank and Affiliate Marketing and Keyword Statistics

First post here, so excuse me in advance for looking like a noob. I've been reading quite a bit over the past few weeks about IM and affiliate marketing and now I'm nearly ready to begin my journey. I've done some research and have decided on a niche. I have found a "new" product on Clickbank with steadily increasing gravity (the clickbank product correlates to another product which was recently released). I've done some keyword research and according to google keyword tool, it averages around 2k searches per month with low competition (and increasing according to google insight). In addition, when searching Google for the keyword with quotes returns 20K results mostly comprised non-authority sites.

I have the skills needed to build a landing page, write articles, etc.. I have a plan which exclusively consists of writing articles to promote the product and distribute the articles through various avenues on the internet.

Before I begin, I want to ask the veterans if they have any additional advice that will save me heartache down the road? Alexa? thanks.

LOL, thank you, I'll tell my father that I'm a "veteran" now (he lives a couple of years in the past and thinks I'm still a teenager). :p

    Welcome to the Warrior Forum.

I'm not sure what to suggest, but here's my offer: a few individual posts and one very short thread that might possibly help (if you haven't seen them already ...).

This post was my attempt at "The three essentials of making ClickBank sales": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5210243

This post is my shot at "How to select ClickBank products as an affiliate": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post2161932

This post is kind of "How I do article marketing": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5035794

This little thread speaks for itself: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ries-work.html

Call me pedantic (many do) but I'm hoping you don't mean it too literally? I've never written and distributed an article which itself actually promotes a product. I write and distribute the articles to draw targeted, qualified traffic to my site, and don't start promoting anything to them until they get there and preferably opt in: it wouldn't be easy to get articles that promote anything in front of targeted traffic (nobody's going to syndicate a sales article).

Last tip: forget "quantity". Quality is all that matters. (I write only 25 articles per month, in total, between all of my niches. What matters is mostly how you use them, rather than how many of them there are).

    Good luck!

Poor choice of words on my part...I am not literally writing articles to promote the product. I am writing the articles to funnel them to my landing page where I then promote the product.

I'm feeling like I need a mentor to help guide me along the way. Any of you "veterans" willing to help me out here cough Alexa cough

Noooooo, sorry, not I. I have limited time (believe it or not) ... apologies. But can perhaps recommend a pulmonary physician for you, if that helps ...

You stated it is more important to focus on what I do with the articles rather than the quantity of them. If I may ask, what do you do with your articles?

Write, write, write! Get as much unique content out there as possible. Throw up a landing page that converts, and start building your list. Once you have a list, you can sell them any product you want whenever you want.

Focus on making your landing page convert well. Take action, someone will get notice it too. Don't let them be the first one.

Don't wait for everything to be 100% perfect. You can work on making things perfect when you're developing your own products, etc, but for now just get something out there. Paralysis by analysis and procrastination are two major online business killers, and you want to stay as far away from that as possible.
