Okay, I've looked for hours on google to find some way to get my gigs higher ranked on fiverr. I think I have some pretty good ones. Including my one where I will personally go to 50 different social bookmarking sites and manually put someone's site or blog on them, but I haven't gotten one purchase. I also have a few for designing websites and logos. I know that no one is buying them because I can't even find them when I look on Fiverr. What do you guys suggest?

You gotta get more people to purchase your gigs man.

The more people buy, the more ratings you'll get and the higher your gig will move up the rankings.

You can network with people within fiverr itself, since its a social network. Go comment on their gigs and let them know what you've got. Find people have bought similar stuff to your and tell them what you have to offer.

You can message them privately or comment publicly so more peeps see it.

I don't think I can comment on gigs until I buy them, but the messaging thing is a great idea. Thanks!

no it is not at all.

Fiverr are cracking down on people who relentlessly go and comment on other gigs or go spamming people who have purchased similar gigs to theirs. Do not do this, otherwise you will be banned, or have your instant notifications frozen.

A warrior posted about this a while back, do not spam otherwise you will be penalized.

There are lots of good tips here, do it the ole fashion way, hard work, promote, and offer something that is in high demand. Do this and you will succeed.

    Matt is right.

We still make money each day on fiverr. I just do it for fun.

But we have had thousands of orders, this is what helps.

    - Reponds quickly to inquiries.
    - Do gigs faster than you say.
    - SEO your fiverr titles, using the Google keywords tool.
    - Make use of upsells
    - Communicate professionally.
    - Entice everyone who orders your gigs to leave a good comment and rate your gig.

Remember the more gigs you get, the more ratings the higher up you go. So customers come first, and always try to overdeliver. If you do this, you will win at the fiverr gig game.

Treat them like you would your best friend, that way we find word of mouth spreads around and other people promote your gig and link to in on their blogs and facebook, and it sort of goes viral.

These are not secrets just common sense and they work very well for us.

Don't forget to personally visit blogs and forums and use your sig. Help people out there they may just buy. Also use twitter and facebook as well as hubpages and such. Don't just concentrate on Fiverr there are about a dozen micro worker sites out there that are good.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The one problem with some of them is that no one has bought any of my gigs so far. Also, I just got in trouble for sending messages to people, so I can't do that now. Any other ideas would be great.

The key to getting that kind of status on fiverr is to make a impression with the customers there.

Fiverr has a very first impression based community, if you can not accept gratitude the first time around it is unlikely you can make up for it the 2nd time around - it has a very short life span for most of the users and you can see that there are constantly new people coming and going on both ends (sellers and buyers) this means you must make the most of every opportunity in order to excel.

I was recently researching how to get more sales from fiverr and this is what i came up with and yet to incorporate.

    > Offer value. Fact is, good product or services sells itself.

    > Do something cumbersome for others to imitate.

    > Promote your gigs in social networking sites like facebook, twitter and myspace. You really need to learn the state of the art way to do these efficiently.

    > Video marketing is a good way to send lots of traffic to your gig within a short period of time.

    > Promote your gigs on relevant forums.

    > You might want to go extra miles and create a small niche site for a few of your good gigs.

    Regards

A more black hat way would be:

Post a Fiverr gig, create a second account and change your paypal e-mail adress, purchase your own gig that way within 24 hrs, that way your gig will get the "Express" tag, leave a great review and repeat this a couple of times. It will only cost you $1 for each purchase. The only thing that effectively ranks your Fiverr gigs are sales, likes and great reviews.

Get some traffic to your gigs and one of the best ways I consider to be working with fiverr gigs is video marketing. Pay someone on fiverr to make you a 60 seconds video or make it on your own. The video would point to your gig and promote it. Include a link in the description and say that in the video.

Then choose a good keyword which has low competition on YouTube, and pretty high search volume in Google keyword tool. Then just get the video on the top of YouTube search and you should get some targeted traffic to your gigs. Once you have traffic, you have orders, and comments on your gigs. This would take your gig up in the fiverr search and that's it. It will take some time, but it is wroth it.

What about this: We could buy our fiverr gigs to rank higher... Costs just 1 dollar. Think here are enough people to exchange gig sales.

You can do what I did. Instead of sitting around waiting for someone to come to me I went looking for them. Look through the "I need something done" ads located on the right side of the screen down nearer the bottom for people that need something that you can offer. Once you find something that you can do message them for more info. If you need to you can create a custom gig for what that particular person wants. I had to message about 3 or 4 people this way before I got an answer from somebody but once I did I created a gig for them and I was off and running. Yeah, you have to look through a bunch of "wanted" ads but it's free time anyway as you are not doing any gigs yet. Also keep it mind that it is about a two week period from the end of the gig until you get paid. Good Luck!

It amazed me when people complain that they aren't making money from fiverr.
I am an African yet, i make an average of $1,300/month on fiverr without any promotion of my gigs. I do not promote my gigs at all!

I will learn from this discussion about promoting my gigs anyway. Maybe i will reach $100/day as soon as i start promoting my gigs from tips learnt here.

I am not just lucky with fiverr coz i have had students i thought about fiverr and it is not uncommon for my students to achieve $200 in their first month month.

If you understand fiverr, you will know that teh first month earning is always low compare to other months. Why? In your first month, you hadn't had more feedbacks. By the time you start having feedbacks and maintain 100% rating, your second month and subsequent months' rating will sky rocket.

In my experience, if you make $200 in your first month, you will easily cruise to $600 and above in your second month once you maintain good rating.

I teach people one-on-one on skype on how i make money from fiverr the dummy way.

In fact, the services i render are delivered under 1 minute.

I have a fiverr account of 16 days old with $60 revenue and 100% rating
    for sale
    .

I won't just sell this account, i will also teach the buyer how to deliver the gigs under 1 minute when ever he/she has an order.

This will be done on skype. I am selling this account because i need some cash for a project.

If you need training on how to make money from fiverr or you want to buy the fiverr account i want to sell, kindly add me on skype: platter.silver@gmail.com

Friend there are several methods to use fiverr to expand your gig sightings.

Have you considered the basics? Uploading a video etc?

That is on the to-do list. I want to upload a video to the gig, just haven't done it yet. Does it make a significant difference for link building gigs?

    Videos are huge.

I am surprised at how many people don't have videos. I am most struck by individuals that offer voice overs or video testimonials, but don't have a sample of their work available! How can you expect to sell a service that you yourself don't believe enough in to post on your own gig?

When I search for something, the front page is full of gigs that have 0 orders.
I don't understand how it works. I have one order, you think I would out rank the ones with no orders and no reviews.

That's not how it works. Newbies get their first gig on the front page.

There are nearly a million Fiverr gigs now. Who deserves to be on the front page and why?

Bonuses are helpful as well, especially when they don't expect them. That makes them happy and possibly return again, especially if it's of value to them and something they can repeat and get benefit from.

I have a Fiverr gig where I request a person of interest relating to hip hop to send me three messages with URL and their screenname that I'll tweet to my followers throughout the day. I tend to tweet them every hour or two.

Though my gig states that I'll tweet them throughout the whole day, I then tweet it a few more times the next day as well as a bonus.

I then leave them the message closing out the gig as complete, and tell them that I tweeted it all day yesterday and some today as well, and to please also leave some positive feedback for the gig.

I've had most of them leave comments, and my percentage of content is 100% satisified, even if they don't leave comments. I just recently reached my Level 1 status, even though I didn't anticipate it. While it's not a major gig, it is one I offer and since there aren't many hip hop related tweet messages on Fiverr, I guess it works out well to get their music related URL's to my 5200+ followers.

I'm going to actually SEO them as I didn't think to SEO my gig at all. So I'm glad I checked that out as well. I did make sure to leave my URL though on my profile for yet another backlink.
