Huge traffic increase in January!

Hey Warriors,

I am seeing a huge traffic increase this month - an additional 150 unique visits per day (on one of my websites). Are you seeing a traffic increase this month?

It may be because of new year's resolutions...

  That could be it! New years resolutions create a hell of a lot of traffic for some niches....
  
  Fitness, give up smoking......pretty much if it has to do with lifestyle then you are likely to see a traffic increase.
  
  I guess financial sites are probably seeing a similar increase now due to the increased exposure....

I am having an increase in both traffic and sales.

My traffic jumped to twice than usual. However, I have been working on the website SEO for two months.

I guess December was a slow month and this is why nothing showed up until Jan.

Congrats and enjoy it. I don't see any special increases. But it is after the Christmas and people are getting back to the normal life. That might be a reason?

I've had my weight loss/fitness site for almost ten years. January is always HUGE. But be aware that it usually goes downhill from there -- until the following January. :-) There are bumps here and there, like in the spring.

  Yes, Fitness is always always huge in January. After the holidays people often think about how their clothes fit and want to get in shape. Keep going with the SEO and adding unique content, it's amazing how quickly sites may fall if you start ignoring them. Congratulations!

Traffic increase is always great news!

I would look to see where your visitors are spending most of their time and create new content geared toward whatever your most viewed content. Give you visitors more and they will return!
