Does Amazon Allow More Than One Affiliate Account?

For example if I have 2 amazon associates account and have the same payee name, address, phone number, etc etc..

Will they terminate my accounts or better yet, will they send checks to the same person for both accounts?

    Hello,

I've had multiple accounts in the past and it has never been a problem. There is even a dropdown menu in the interface to allow you to choose which associate account you want to view.

If you are having problems with your account, make sure you call immediately. The sooner you take action, the sooner they can resolve it.

You can only have one affiliate account, but within that account you can set up different tracking IDs. That's how I keep track of my different sites.

I have two UK accounts. The only reason being that you can only specify one sort of site, and I have a blog and a website, which are distinct.

Well I have 2 accounts set up right now, both addressed to the same payee name. I plan on using both accounts to generate revenue, and will be expecting payments from both of them Net-60. So I want to know if it's allowed, because the last thing I want is my accounts terminated.

Both of which I'm sure will make more than the payment threshold I have set. Although one account is making a significantly larger amount of earnings.

Any thoughts on if I'll be receiving both checks without problems?

          -Regards

I have 3 unique active Amazon.com affiliate accounts, (can only add 150 tracking ids per account) and each month recieve my 3 cheques from them.

I probably have 3-4 other inactive old accounts as well.

So my short answer is yes, better safe then sorry I suppose, but I have recieve my 3 seperate account checks for more than 36 straigh months

That happens most of the time that someone asks a question which is related to third-party terms of service.

This is why you should ask Amazon, and not Warriors who feel like replying, who are clearly a small, unrepresentative, self-selected group some of whom know what they're talking about.

Whose answer do you trust more, on this question: Amazon's, or that of the next person who happens to reply?

I have more then one per country.

    No issues.

Just don't do anything against their TOS and you're fine.

Yeah...ask Amazon...but WHY do you have 2 accounts? That's really the question.

Are you trying some sketchy approaches with one account and white hat with the other? That might be a problem in that case.

Are you using one account for each website? Why? Just use tracking ID's.

Do you have 2 businesses? Set up another bank account and use a different address for the business.

I can't think of any legitimate reason to have 2 accounts on the same Amazon site under the same name. It would be counter-productive, even, considering volume is what gets you moving into higher pay grades.

The only reason I can think of is to keep groups of websites in the eyes of google. SO if google decides to slap all the websites with the same amazon ID then the sites with the other ID are safe. People tend to do this more with adsense, since slapping all sites on one adsense account can happen if one of the sites is reviewed and given the big thumbs down.

Although I have not heard this happening to groups of amazon sites. Anyone?

Nah, that doesn't really apply. As far as I know, unless Google has some behind the scenes agreement with Amazon, there's no way that's a concern at all. Since you can create multiple tags within a single Amazon Affiliate account that are in no way linkable, there's no need to have a completely separate account for this purpose.

nah they won't. They're a big company and to them, people having multiple accounts is completely normal.

I don't think it is against their TOS since so many people openly admit to having multiple affiliate accounts. However, this is not justification enough. You should write to them to inquire about this, and if you do, please share their response with us

Why would you want more than one account? The more sales you get on your account, the better commission you earn. You can set up numerous tracking ID's within your account to keep things separate. If you max out your 150 tracking ID's that Amazon lets you set up on your own, I have it on good authority that you can call them and ask for more.

    I hope this brings clarity:
Amazon US and Amazon UK (we can go on for each country) are like two different companies. You need one account for each Amazon company if you wish to sell internationally.

Once you have an account with one Amazon site, then Amazon allows you to set up multiple tracking IDs within your one account. Some people are identifying their tracking ID as an account here. This is confusing to the question.

The tracking ID is found at the end of the URL. The reason you would want this is to track where your Amazon sales are coming from. The money earned from various tracking IDs all ends up in your one account.

Multiple accounts may be required if you're setting up/managing these as a client service. Amazon can see your IP address and you will be flagged, so if you're doing this you must contact Amazon first and identify yourself as an agency. They will help you.

    Amazon.co.uk Site says:

Multiple Amazon Associate Accounts allowed, but one account per category

Unless we have provided our written consent in advance, your participation in the Programme is limited to one Programme account per category. If we determine in our sole discretion that more than one Programme account per category is owned, operated, or controlled by or on behalf of you, we may in our sole discretion terminate one or all accounts. In your application to the Programme, you must select the category listed below that most accurately describes the method you will use to send users to the Amazon.co.uk Site.
