Found this great article on Hubspot about Facebook marketing and the timeline changes.

How Timeline Radically Changes Your Facebook Marketing Strategy

It used to be a good rule of thumb to only post once or twice a day to Facebook to not seem spammy, but with the new changes Facebook updates are becoming more like Twitter posts with a shorter and shorter time that users actually see and respond to them.

So posting much more frequently now (with high quality content) is the way to go.

I've been doing 1-3 posts a day but after reading this article I'm going to go to 3-4 posts a day.

What do you think? How frequently do you facebook marketers post on your fan pages?

    aha. so by posting more often I am automatically less annoying because fb hides the posts? makes sense.

    I will feel less guilty about updating my facebook! There's a tone of excellent things to share but I've been worried about overwhelming my audience.

    I tried facebook marketing, I have 20 accounts. Most with 5000 friends, just don't like it. I need to sell those suckers.

      I have much better sales from Twitter, Facebook not so much. Also as for the new timeline feature, I can't stand it!

    The new Timeline seems decent to me.

    As for Marketing, I think the recent change months ago, to allow subscribers to your Facebook Profile helps.

    They of course copied this idea from Google+, but it is useful for people who have stuff they want to advertise on Facebook.

    There is no 5000 limit as how your Friend List is limited.
