Can Anyone Figure Out The software Used To Create This Multistore Site?

Hi Fellow warriors, I am looking for an ecommerce multistore software that can create a site like this One.

each store has their own paypal gateway and customers can also pay by bank deposit.

If some one can ID the software used for this site I will be greatful.

thanks

I could be wrong but it looks hand coded, not from a shopping cart store.

I looked at the source code and it looks like a custom site to me. I think they probably hired a programmer/designer to create the site.

I'm not sure what they're using, but you can do this with X-Cart Pro. (no-aff)

I looked at x-cart pro but the payment option is really what I am out for. I want each vendor to manage their own sales and I only get commision out of each sale automatically put into my paypal account and I could also charge vendors for each listing they put on the site.

The only other e-commerce software I found that comes close is the iscript multicart but again I don't know if anyone here has used it and can sincerely say that it is a good script.

      suggestions!!!

It is me, or is some kind of Australian version of Etsy? And if not official Etsian, it sure looks like they have nabbed the Etsy style. Kudos to them, it's lovely. If you find out do let us know.

I've used that software to create store networks. As the fellow in #8 above suggests it's a plugin from WPMU Dev. You basically create a wordpress multi-user installation then use several of the WPMU Dev plugins to achieve the required features. You also need to create a custom PayPal App to handle the payment sharing feature. Basically people can shop at different vendor stores adding products into their cart. Then they complete a single checkout (like amazon) and the software hooks up with PayPal and sends each vendor their cut of the purchase and takes a percentage off the top for the store owner.
If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I can give you a list of what you'll need plus a link to a website which utilizes the system to good effect.

Really interesting use of WPMU. I do wish the Paypal aspect was also an available plugin, instead of having to be custom coded.

        Hey Jon,

The coding is already done for you by WPMU Dev, but you have to submit it as an application to Paypal developers network since each one is registered to the specific paypal account used by the shopping cart software. The problem is that it can take weeks for Paypal to get back - 5 weeks with one of my app requests. WPMU claim to be looking into a better system for that aspect but I'm not sure where that's at.

I have a niche ecommerce site as it is right now but plan to convert it to an open market for multiple vendors. I did look at the marketpress demo but didnt notice anywhere on the products a mention of the store owners per product, I am trying to get it similar to etsy functionality.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have posted around in forums and emailed around all to be bombarded with affiliate link scripts. If you could please pm me with any info and demos that would be greatly appreciated! (sorry I cannot pm yet)

The software isn't wordpress, it's coded in ASP.NET, Wordpress is coded in PHP. This is not a piece of software you can pick up from anywhere, it's been custom coded.

There are two solutions, both from Agriya. The first is PeeweePay where people can create stores and the payment goes directly to the merchant and automatically takes a commission which you get via PayPal. This script uses PayPal adaptive payments to split the payment to the admin and the merchant.

The second solution is the BuySell software which works like more of an etsy clone but doesn't use adaptive payments to split the payments.

It is custom coded but the same functionality is available with Wordpress WPMU. And there's no custom coding involved. Although, I'm not 100% sure about that 'bank deposit' feature, perhaps PayPal can handle that.

Yes, Marketpress is what I used for a similar project. I also use the WPMU DEV Membership plugin so you can charge people recurringly for having a store. (You don't have to charge them but even so you would use a membership plugin to manage all their permissions).
It's a great system and easy to setup -
1 - People register for a store(it's actually a WP Blog) at your site
2 - The membership system bills them monthly for the store
3 - Their store is auto-created on a sub-domain with their name in the URL
4 - They can pay an extra fee for a branded domain
5 - Their store is auto-created with 'about us', 'contact', 'policies and terms' etc and everything is setup with a sample product
6 - They only need to add their email address for receiving payments, and their products and shipping rates
7 - Multi-vendor shopping and checkout like amazon
8 - Network owner takes a percentage from every sale
9 - Vendors involved in the sale receive shipping/order notifications from the Network owner and instant payment along with payment notifications from Paypal.

I'm amazed more people don't create these things - they're ideal for hobbyist communities. With my install I used Buddypress to create the community so you're bringing together buyers and sellers and you're providing all of the selling tools so people don't need to spend a fortune to get themselves online and trading. They can be VERY profitable for the network owner if you hit the right niche.

Search esty clones in google there are tons of pre built clone scripts that run great for what you are looking to do. More then likely the site you referrenced runs on an esty clone. Wordpress is doable you have to use multi-user version, wp-ecommerce and more then likely a custom theme you are probably talking close to 2 grand or so to have it done when you should be able to pick up a clone script for a few hundred for a good one.
