Hi guys

im thinking about writing an ebook and how hard/easy would it be to market it?

My main plan is putting it on clickbank first... what are good ways to get exposure for ur product to affiliate marketers in a affiliate network?

You would market the ebook the same way as you would any other product.

A teaser ebook does work well with an ebook though. Download a teaser version at the most popular ebook venues and leave a simple credit type link at the end pointing to further information. Don't fall into the sales pitch type links throughout the teaser as most download sites will not like it.

    1) Put it on Clickbank

    2) Put it on Paydotcom.com

    3) Create an affiliate page promoting your product's affiliate programs, and submit it to the popular affiliate directories

    4) Create marketing tools and pieces that your affiliates can use to make money with your product

    5) Use PPC to see if your market is responsive

    6) Find low cost places to advertise your business at (ex. Warrior Forum banner in signature for a year)

    7) Use article marketing, forum marketing, video marketing, and SEO to promote your product

    8) Have a good backend system in place

This should keep you busy for a while. Rinse and repeat

Clickbank is the best place you can put it to. But you should only expect a sale if your ebook covers what its consumers are expecting.

    Best of Luck...

Well, existing ClickBank affiliates will be able to find your product if they're looking for one. But you also have to recruit new affiliates from outside the ClickBank network, because some of the websites you'll want to recruit won't already be using ClickBank.

Depending on the niche you can try and get exposure by becoming the recognised expert.

Writing articles, trying to become a guest blogger in your market, an authority on forums -- just becoming the go-to guy (like Perry Marshall did for Adwords).

Contact competitors and see if you can JV with them, cross promote and help each other out. As bizarre as it sounds you see it all the time with the fitness guru's and their fat burning courses.

I would sell the ebook through forums such as Warrior Forum, give some members the ebook for free in order to get at least 5 honest reviews, then sales will start coming in slowly.

Marketing e-books could be a time-consuming process, but if you put in the effort, you will see the results.

1.) Start a blog. If you provide rich and reliable information on a consistent basis, you will generate a steadily growing readership. These followers will be more likely to reciprocate any e-books that you have to market. Blogging also helps readers build a connection to your work, as well as develop a bond between the author and the readers.

2.) Have you also tried engaging in social media? Part of marketing an e-book is also selling a brand for yourself. If you establish an identity online and build up a trustworthy reputation, the readers will trickle in over time. Twitter is especially helpful in this regard, because you get to converse with prospective readers and receive immediate feedback. Think of it as having an online book fair!

3.) In general, you should also try increasing your presence through a wide spectrum of online media. Posting in message boards are a nice start. You can also take advantage of news feeds online.

4.) Finally, provide samples. Providing a portfolio of your works can be very helpful in establishing your reputation. Readers will recognize quality content when they see it.

    Hi Workplay,

Find people that are affiliates for related products in your niche.....competitor products etc...

Email them and ask if they would be willing to become affiliates for you product.

    Regards

My top 3 methods of marketing ebooks:

      1. SEO driven mainly by blogs. Here we know our target keywords and we know what interests our market, combining the two means we get lots of people that like what we write who take further action and buy our ebooks

      2. Affiliate program...we proactively seek out authority sites and form relationships with their owners/publishers so they promote our products to their trusted visitors/prospects and customers. This may sound simple, and it can be simple, but does require a very set process to find, capture the interest and get those affiliates on board...and to make it simple for them to promote your ebook for you.

      3. List building - we focus on building deep markets where we capture the attention and contact information from our prospects which we then leverage when we launch new ebooks or info products.
