If I embed audio and video into my PDF eBook will it slow downloading significantly?

I'm thinking I will have about 100 MB of audio and 100 MB video, for example.

Maybe linking to the files would be better?

Linking to the files would be infinitely easier.

Well it will slow it down if you increase the size of the file by 100MB. Many people prefer to have both PDF and vids available for a course, so if your PDF and vids can stand on their own, just offer both separately.

Agreed I would offer them separately, it feels to the customer like you are delivering more value.

Yeah, offering them separately would be a much better option. Embedding them might make the file too big to be convenient to download for a lot of people. Make the audio and video available on a separate link, imho

Simplest way would be to link to a page that could stream your audio/video files and offfer under the player a choice to download.
