Time To Stop Treading Water

I have been trying to make money online for over 2 years now. Very unsuccessful. I feel that I am treading water. I also know why.

I have been promoting Cashcrate since 2009. That is where my problem starts. Not that I feel that Cashcrate is not a money maker. It does make some extra money, but it will not make enough.

I have to start building my system today. I just do not know how to build a plan. I guess that I want to start with Amazon. I have an affiliate account, but I am clueless when it comes to writing reviews. So, I have to get some advice on how to start.

I understand some basic SEO techniques, but do not know where to go and list my links. Right now all I have is a couple blogger blogs. I am planning on putting a blog up on byethost because its free hosting and I do not have a lot of finance to work with.

Here is what I was thinking. I can register a domain using a free domain like .co.cc and register it with byethost. This would be just to get started. After I made a few bucks I would re-invest it into a .com. I would like to make money using Amazon, CPA and Adsense. Just need to know where to start.

I need a starting point for my plan. I know I need an account with byethost or some other free hosting. If you know of a better one then let me know. I need to find a profitable niche, I am working on learning keyword research (a huge stumbling block) I have market samurai for this. Which is helping. I have to register the domain with .co.cc. If you know of a better free domain then please let me know.

That is it. With financing low I plan on starting with all my own content. Writing each day. Now comes the part that is really confusing. Promoting it. I do not know where to go to get others to view my blog. I need visitors that are willing to buy, click ads and try offers. Not just other warriors who are clicking a link in my signature. Does this make any sense to you guys.

Please, I need help. I thank you all in advance.

Come on you need to spend a bit. A .com is nothing, and getting a proper host would be much better. You want a reliable server which wont suffer downtime.

I wouldn't suggest you to go for .co.cc. If you want to have your own website where you want to build a business online from, it should be .com, since this is a standard. If you don't have money to invest I would go for video marketing. It is not as expensive as managing a website.

With video marketing you can go with Amazon, CPA, or other affiliate products. If you know what you are doing with video marketing you should soon see some money coming (I mean 2 weeks or so), and then you can invest in .com domain and hosting if you really want to build a website. You can also write articles and then post in on Web 2.0 sites with the video you made to get better conversions form the article. Since you have Market Samurai, you can use it to find some keywords that would not be so difficult to rank for with Web 2.0 sites and point them to your videos.

I guess this is the less expensive way of making a few bucks to start something more. Now SEO is a different game and if you don't know a lot about it, you should not expect miracles from it.

That's my advice. Hope it helps.

This is good. I think that I will start out with some video marketing. At least its a starting point. I think I will do a bit of research on video marketing and learn what I can. Thank you.

I think that if you know about marketing and how it all works, you should soon be able to make those money for domain, hosting and autoresponder. Then just keep up with the tasks necessary to achieve your goal, and you should see some results in a couple weeks and months.

You need to stop and take some time to think about all this IM thing... it's Marketing. Have you got any marketing skills, education, formation? If not, get some asap. IF you want to make money online, you'll need marketing skills dude.

Only then get this into your marketing plan:

    Market
    Product
    Buyers

    It's marketing.

    Marketing!

I understand that its Marketing. I understand that you need a product and that you need buyers. I do understand all of this. You need to know what niche you want to start in, then find a product in that niche, then you need buyers. That is basic. Just need the education and knowledge. I am sure that there are successful warriors here that started with some basic knowledge and learned more along the way. That is what I am trying to do. As for financing, I will move into getting a .com and some hosting. as mentioned above I believe that I will learn something about video marketing and go from there. But, thank you for your advice.

    Hey Gvannorman,

Well done for taking action and realizing that you were going down a dead end street……..and well done for not throwing in the towel!

If you are looking to get yourself off the ground you really do need to spend a little….it will be worth your while in the end.

The bare minimum you will need is:

#1. A Domain (Approx $9 a year……look for coupon codes for wherever you register to get it cheaper)
#2. Hosting (Approx $4-10 a month again look for coupon codes and get it cheaper)
#3. Autoresponder ($19.99 a month from aweber…but again certain coupons can get you discounts.

Those three are essential for you business and if you look at it carefully you have a fully running business for under $1 a day…..

    Then….

#1. Install wordpress (Plenty of guides on doing that or outsource it to fiver)
#2. Download and install a free template (When you make some $$$ grab a better template or a professionally made one!)
#3. Get an optin box on your site to collect emails (You may need to offer a "bribe" to entice them onto your newsletter.
    #4. Write regular content!

    For traffic….

#1. Go to Niche forums and contribute…..in you sig place a link back to your site (If allowed)
#2. Go to Groups on Google, Facebook etc…..contribute, share your content..
#3. Syndicate your content to article directories, doc sharing sites, ppt sharing sites etc.
#4. Contact big blogs in the niche and offer to guest blog for them.

    Hope this helps.

    Chris

This is what I needed I believe. I am sure that I will find success, but its been an up and down road for me so far. As for quitting I would not do that because that would me I have to admit that I failed, I wont do that either.

      Thanks again.

I would like to thank everyone for there input. It is what I was looking for, not really a step by step but something that will keep me motivated enough to keep going. Sometimes when things are not working people lose hope and then they just give up. I have already told myself that I will not give up, I do not care how long it will take, eventually I have to hit something that will work.

Hi, I understand what you are going through and I believe it's a phase many of us have been through at times. I've been through that too before. I'm impressed by your willingness to discuss something which many people would shun talking about, as if it's a form of weakness. Would like to share with you something I just shared with another in another post, hope that it helps you boost your confidence back into the IM world.

Hi there, one of the best way to overcome this feeling is to make the first few dollars as fast as you can. When I was starting out, I made 1k with about 3 hours of work, it was a major booster of confidence and the fact that yes, there is a market out there.

You mentioned that you are good in writing, why not try going to iwriter.com and write a few articles to earn some money online VERY fast. After you have written an article, it will usually be approved a few hours later and you will see the money in your balance. The payout is not fantastic but it is one of the fastest way I know of to get some quick cash and confidence.

Let me know what your ID is if you do join, I will keep a lookout for you and send some articles your way.

Byethost is a pretty good idea if you want to start without spending anything. (But bear in mind that installing Wordpress there is much more complicated than it is at 000WebHost.com. Maybe the effort's worthwhile, though, as Byethost may be a more reliable host.)

.co.cc is a terrible idea. The .co.cc domain and all its subdomains have been de-indexed by Google.

Buy a $1 .info domain instead, perhaps?

Or - if you don't want a Wordpress blog - start with the free hosting at Weebly intending to upgrade to their paid hosting when you've made something? (I still use Weebly myself for some sites and can happily recommend it).

Congratulations on your wise decision to abandon Cashcrate.

If you're planning to use article directories, I think this one little thread may be really helpful to you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ries-work.html

I am not going to abandon Cashcrate. I do however plan on stopping the promotion like I have. I still enjoy the $30 a month that it brings in...just saying
