For the longest time, I wanted to go to college; after all, it's the norm. I've always questioned if I actually will, however, due to my interest being in Entrepreneurship. Sure, there's great colleges for that but how useful are they really? If I made money online in IM to start up an investment into business (possibly - just stick with me), it wouldn't make sense to get myself into debt going to college. My question is about the social factors of this. I'm not the most social person - but I like having friends and being around people. Is that possible? How do the rest of you achieve it?

Anyone have input please?

    We go out

Seriously, you make a valid point. IM can be a bit insular.

Anyway, if you can afford it, go to college and get an education while you can. Meanwhile, start something online - even if it is just a blog. Get it going. Perhaps combine it with your studies and kill two birds with one stone.

I'd get the education. You can work on IM in your spare time. A college education can only help you both as an entrepreneur and in the event that entrepreneurship doesn't work out. It's a win win.

Thanks for the input and advice. Do you guys have any advice on what to major in then? It seems like the few colleges that offer a decent education in entrepreneurship also charge an arm and a leg for it.
