  • no offence but you dont need to know EVERYTHING to make decent amounts of money online. Hell, I know a few ppl that really dont know much and still managed to make a killing online.

You just gotta work hard more than anything.

  • I definitely think this is true, and that's why this adage has stuck around IM so long, giving your customers/subscribers value breeds trust and loyalty and therefore credibility with products you have to offer them, and this goes a long way in having a long, profitable relationship with them.

  • What is helping me make money online is that I am able to sell a commodity that has a very high demand globally and is getting bigger everyday. I make money the exact same way that 1and1, godaddy and microsoft make money. I sell do-it-yourself websites online for a cheap price. You can do the same thing too.
  • I'll co-sign the op.

I've had new websites rank very quickly by simply producing a lot of keyword focused content throughout the website. Even with high targeted keywords, if you place articles/content on your website with the keywords placed throughout, you'll see your rankings increase significantly in a relatively short amount of time.

It also helps that I am as well, a good writer. Of course, if you have a great product and know how to market it well, keyword articles aren't as important if you can drive targeted traffic to your website using other alternatives.
  • What you said is definitely true of every business. People want good stuff, they want a lot of it, and they want it often. It's important to give your customers what you want, but you also need to remain profitable.

If everything you put out there is top notch, then it should be no problem charging for your premium content/products. I try to stay around 80/20. 80% of my content is free advice, tips etc, and 20% is sales.
  • Please don't take affront, but you stated that you "hate" marketing. You are surely missing out on succeeding at your full potential because I learned a long time ago that to succeed in something, one must love the topic involved. Sorry to hear you don't like marketing as much as you should or is it not what you really meant?

    • You certainly don't need to love something to succeed doing it. You should have a purpose or goal behind what you're doing to drive you forward. Love will come and go, and should not be why you involve yourself in anything.

I just wanted to say a few words for those who are trying to make money but having problems with this matter because there is a fierce competition online and if you cannot reach your targeted audience you have no chances to sell anything. I basically hate marketing, even though I know how it works, I know the topic very well, and I even had an offline business for years. It's just that I hate wasting my time with marketing. Anyhow, I'm showing you that I cannot compete with the marketers who know all the online tricks and have all the tools, the knowledge, etc to have top rankings online. I cannot devote my time to marketing like they do.
