REALLY? You Can't Record GoToWebinars On A MAC???

Really?

I know this might be old news to some or even most of you but I just found out you can't actually record gotwebinars on a mac.

I am aware that I run webinars all the time using gotwebinar so some of you are probably thinking i'm a douche lol but I've just never offered replays and when I have it's been with other webinar providers.

It just sucks because the one time I say I will provide a replay for those who can't attend I can't because I'm running a Mac.

I guess I'll have to pull out the old dusty PC laptop and hope to do it that way.

Forgive me if I sound like I've been living under a rock but what do you Mac guys do to get around this??

      Yeah camtasia works but it would be a lot easier to just record straight from gotowebinar

    Wow... never thought GotoWebinar would be so "one-dimensional".

    Here is another solution I found for those without Camtasia or something similar.... GoToMeeting Recording and Mac OS X (not an affiliate - just did a search)

    ALSO: there is a great explanation of WHY GTW and MAC are not very compatible on that same webpage. Cheers!

    I have a mac and use gotowebinar for webinars.

    I record the webinar using camtasia and its pretty simple.....Just remember to press record

    Other mac users swear by Screenflow.....

    Get yourself a copy of Windows 7 and install it on your Mac as a dual boot if it is new enough.

    ...or dump both your "compatible with only half of everything Mac" and/or "I can only crash PC" in the garbage and run a Linux server using Oracle to boot both Mac OSX and Windows and anything other OS and all of the apps that they run as apps within apps and never have to worry about compatibility again...

      I remember my shock and dismay when I discovered GotoWebinar and Mac didn't play well together.

      I use Screenflow to do the recording.

    Hey Tristan,

    Might try www.screencast-o-matic.com to record them - I have a PC but I use that instead of the GTW built in recording simply because I can do more with the video afterwards... (GTW codec is crazy and makes editing almost impossible)

    Note: You will want the pro version which is $12 a year

    Last I knew Snapz was a good video recorder for the mac.

    I used Screenflow too...and it worked out OK.

    I was more pissed off that I couldn't use a Keynote presentation with GTW - found out at the 11th hour and had to convert it to a PDF and use that. #epicfail

    The free QuickTime Player that came with my MacBook screen records GoToWebinars just fine for me.

    Then, if I want to convert the file to a different format I use "Adapter" which is a free download from macroplant .com
