$2500 and a job that sucks.

You find yourself in a situation where you have $2500 that you can afford to spend on setting up a business on the internet and have a job that sucks and just covers all of the bills with nothing to spare.

You have no other access to money from friends and family or any form of lending institution so what you have is the total you can spend.

You have no web sites, hosting, autoresponder or any other form of digital asset, so this has to be taken into consideration when spending your initial money pot, however, you do have the knowledge that you have accumulated so you are not starting as a total newbie.

You cannot afford to add any money to the pot from your salary because this just gives you a basic living with nothing to spare and the only money that can be spent is the initial pot and any money that you make by your internet efforts.

The question is this, how would you progress with this getting to the point where you could give up the job that sucks and you hate as quickly as possible but building a business that both brings in rapid income but also builds a business for the future?

There are so many different experience levels and people with many areas of different expertise on this forum that it should prove quite an interesting read from the answers that are posted.

By the way, this isn't me because I don't have a job.

    1) Get a website

    2) Get an autoresponder

    3) Sign up for Paypal

    4) By PLR ebooks and combine them into 1 super/unique ebook to sell with bonuses

    5) Create sales letter page

    6) Test squeeze page using PPC, and monitor sales

    7) Test pitch page using PPC, and monitor sales

    8) If you make money or even break even on step 6, keep running the PPC campaign and market to your backend customers

    9) Find high traffic websites to advertise on

    10) Put your product on Clickbank and Paydotcom

    11) Create an affiliate sign up page and submit to all the major affiliate directories

    12) Pay for signature advertising in forums (ex. Warrior Forum)

    13) Put your product on Ebay and Amazon for further exposure - at the same price that's on your website

    14) Do TONS of free marketing like a champ

    15) Rinse and repeat the steps above

    15) Buy yourself some dinner at the Olive Garden

    16) Save the rest of that money to pay rent

This should keep you busy for a while.

      Randall,

I pretty much write all of my content and never even looked into PLR. Have you had any luck and success with PLR books?

If anyone else has some info let me know about your experiences. Thanks.

To me the issue is that $2500 is not a major amount, which would allow you to purchase something already created, and provide a recurring income.
It IS enough to get you all set up with something YOU create, more or less following the steps posted by Randall. The problem is that, to do it that way, requires quite an amount of time investment and, if you have a full-time job, time may be something which you don't have available.
I've been in this situation myself before, and it's not easy to find something which will allow you to leave that job, and replace the income from it. I found that even by outsourcing stuff (graphics, salespage creation, etc) setting things up still takes a fair whack of time, not to mention the time spent interacting with, and managing, whichever outsourced workers you use.
Honestly, the route I'd follow today, were I to find myself in the situation again, would be to seek out JV partners. I'd do something similar to what Randall proposes, but with a JV partner who could afford more of the time investment.
JV's work exceptionally well, and hundreds of long-standing warriors will attest to that.
Of course standard due diligence has to be done before jumping into bed with anyone, but a strong, long-lasting, WF reputation can go a long way. If you can find some of those people, and get them to hook up with you, I think you'd be well on your way to coming up with something that could replace "the job".

Why not do two at the same time until you have steady money coming in? Ie Don't quit your day job just yet. When you start making money re-invest your profits and keep doing that until your earnings increase so much that only a small percentage of your profits needs to be re-invested.

I took that risk, I invested a percentage of my salary each month, then made a profit and invested that and kept re-investing.... you get the picture....

You say that the $2500 is the issue, so what would you expect to spend to get something that is ready created taking into account the activity around getting the ready created solution promoted and in a position where people were willing to sell as an affiliate?

The other question from this is how do you go about getting reputable warriors to take you seriously when you don't have a reputation, just the smallish amount of money?

I bring these up because it highlights the problems surrounding getting into the industry and is probably a very real situation for some people who want to break free from the 9 to 5 and live something like the life that people read about everyday on the internet.
