Paypal & setting up shipping costs

Greetings,
I'm going to run my sales from my website through Paypal as my payment processor. The books are actually shipped direct to the customer from the place where the are printed on demand (Lightning Source). I'm trying to set up Paypal to reflect the costs of shipping so the buyer is paying that upfront. Lightning Source told me they use UPS ground domestically and DHL for international shipments. I've compared UPS costs (as if I was to ship) to Amazon similar costs. Amazon is WAY cheaper. Is that because their volume is so high?

  • Could be because of the bulk Amazon does or they may have less overhead/less time consuming process or not making a profit on the shipping. Lots of possible reasons.

You need to get a script that will calculate it for you on an order basis.
