Directory of Ezines?

Does anyone belong to the Directory of Ezines? I am looking into using that service as a way of syndicating content, but wondering about the experiences of others? Is it worth the $197 for a lifetime subscription?

    I've heard nothing but amazing things about it and it looks like a very quality product. I'm personally planning on buying the membership soon, and if it lives up to its reputation it'll be a major part of my business.

    Doesn't it have a guarantee? I say give it a go.

    I nearly bought this but only really wanted the guide, not the whole membership / coaching program or whatever it is.. shame he doesn't sell it just seperately.. but this thread just reminded me about it and I probably will go and get it at some point to be honest as newsletter advertising really works well for me.

      Yes, you can use this resource to find good solo ads, but the same ezines that send out solo ads will often feature articles in their regular publication (not in the solo ads).

      The ezines need a regular source of good quality articles to send out to their readership, and that's where syndication possibilities come in.

      If you can offer a high quality article to an ezine that is a good match for the readership, they will most likely publish it with a link back to your site. They get to provide great content to their readers, and you get traffic to your site through the included link.

      It's a simple model that's almost as old as the Internet itself, and it works great.

    I would say it really depends on what you want to do and achieve... I mean, DOE is big and there are for sure dozens of ways how you can promote your website or business using DOE...

    One thing that comes to my mind... maybe you should contact someone who is member there just to give you some info about how many ezines is in DOE that match your niche... just to get some info about how many people you can reach and what you can achieve from DOE membership...

    On the other side... my opinion is that $197 is not at all expensive if you are serious about your business because it provides you with lot of useful content and possibilities... also, probably it will cost you much more to get solo ads in all listed ezines than what will that membership cost you... think about that - expenses after you get in DOE...

      One thing that should be mentioned in regard to solo ads...

      Many of the ezines listed in the DOE offer a free or discounted ad to directory members so they can try a given ezine. If it's profitable, they know that the buyer will likely repeat the ad.

    Article syndication is precisely how I use the DOE. Been doing it successfully for many years, and yes it has been well worth the initial investment. But for clarification, this is not a syndication service; it is a directory of ezines sorted by niches primarily for advertisers. However, the publisher contact information provided can be used to submit your article query. Many ezine publishers are always looking for quality content for their subscribers.

      What is article syndication? How do you approach an ezine with it and how do you do it within an ezine ?

        In essence, article syndication refers to the process by which written content is simultaneously distributed for publication in various online or offline outlets such as ezines, blogs, websites, magazines, newspapers, etc.

    I bought the DOE a couple of years back and it wasn`t exactly that great but it may be a lot better now

    It really depends on what niche you are in

    If you are in the IM niche then i would def not bother, there are more than enough excellent solo ad and ezine providers and marketers that would sell you an ad for there list
