Hello there.
I found one awesome article on foreign language that is fully working. So i want to translate the article myself and then make it as mine, will it be called my article? Will it be legal?

Do you really have to ask? C'mon now...

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

No it won't be yours, but you could ask the writer for permission to translate it and then credit the original writer if they give permission

In a word, no. As Patricia says above, ask the author for permission to translate it. Explain to him/her what you want to achieve by doing so. Perhaps you can both benefit from the process. People are usually open to a suggestion if there's something in it for them.

I don't think so. I'm not a legal expert but I believe this is common sense. That work belongs to that person, regardless of the language in which is translated.

Look at how many best selling books are translated. Do they lose their author's ownership when it becomes available in a new language? Definitely not.

Also, the intellectual property is more protected now than ever, so watch out.

The article will for sure not be yours but I believe the author should not have any problem if you give him a link back.

That is exactly on a par with the legal "belief" you expressed here yesterday.

May I respectfully suggest that you read the replies to that post, think about why they were made, and STOP giving people the "benefit" of your impressions, on legal subjects, because anyone who takes any notice of you may get into terrible trouble!

Sure, you can call the article yours. You could also call it "Aunt Mabel"...

        It would still be stealing.

Rather than repeat the post I made yesterday in reply to another "belief" you had, I'll just link to it here.
