"This connection is untrusted" message?

Hi Everyone,

I read online that I shouldn't access a site when I see this message, but this is a url that was given to me for a payment that's due to me. Apparently when I'm in the site, I have to enter the pass that was given to me in a mail as well as other codes and, as I understand, then the money would be transferred to my bank account.

Has anybody got any experience with this, plse let me know.

I've already sent them an email to inform them about this, got no response, and will do so again tomorrow.

    Now, I don't know exactly what's going on in your case, but I've seen this message with self-signed SSL certificates -- or with SSL certificates that aren't well known. Some browsers are very particular about the SSL certificate and will give you a warning. For example, I use a GeoTrust certificate on my site which is a recognized SSL certificate because I don't want this message appearing.

      Thanks for the info, Suzanne! What did you do in the cases where you saw it? In my case I don't know which it is: self-signed, not well-known. Or...? I try and call them tomorrow. Regards, Di
