Some Tips as a Thank You (1000th Post)
For my 1000th post I would just like to take some time to say thank you to everyone at WF. This community has been so supportive. Thanks to everything I have learned here I have gone from a house wife, struggling to find a way to keep her family afloat, to... well... I'm still a house wife. The difference is that there isn't nearly as much of a struggle. I have my own business and I enjoy every minute of working without missing out on spending time with my family. Honestly, WF has made my dreams come true.
As a thank you, I'd like to share some thinks of learned in my journey and encourage you to share as well. This community stands strong because it is a group of people learning from each other!
So, to start it out, my first 5 tips to becoming successful in Internet marketing.
1. Lists are your friend. Lots of lists. Make lists of what needs to be done. It is so easy to miss a step that could ruin all of your hard work. Something as simple as forgetting to add a link to an email you are sending or not running spell check on your product can really hurt your efforts.
2. Document what you do so you know where you can improve next time. Take some time to write out steps you take when working on a product or website. When you are done, take some time to look over those steps. Where can you improve? What can you do better? Can you do things in a different order to get things done faster?
3. Don't stop learning. There is always so much to learn about IM. The key is focused learning though. If you are making adsense sites, don't start downloading books about ClickBank. Look for products about SEO, keywords, and things like that. Focus on your business method before you move onto the next one.
4. Be consistent. The key is to be consistent with your work. Many newbie Internet marketers will sit down and work for 12 hours for a few days and then just avoid work for a few weeks. This isn't the best way to get results! Try and squeeze in at least a little time to work at least 5 days a week to keep your mind on your goal. Of course you don't want to go overboard, but it is too easy to get distracted from IM and fall behind.
5. Don't be afraid to outsource! Even if your profits are low, taking some of those profits and spending them to speed up your business is a great plan. Does it take you hours to write even one article of average quality? How about spending a little money to hire a writer or buy some PLR to rewrite. Remember, time is money. Personally, I like to hire a part time VA to handle random tasks like article submission or backlink creation because I would prefer to spend my time on other aspects of my business. You can find very affordable VAs if you take some time.
