I recently opened a company and I did a trademark registration for a product in Canada, I noticed that someone already took the twitter/facebook page but they are not using it , you know when people register a page and never use it?

If I ask twitter or facebook to release these pages would they do it if I provide the documents? btw those pages were registered before I have registered my trademark

      If you want a Twitter username and the person who has the account isn't using it, Twitter will give it to you, trademark or no trademark.

      Email username@twitter.com with the following information:
      • The username you want
      • Your existing username, if you have one
      • Whether you want to change your username, or start a new account with the username you're requesting
