Newbie needs help.

Hi there,

I hope you guys could help me out.

I've been doing SEO for the past six months and made a lot of beginner's mistakes along the way.

Basically, I do affiliate marketing and I have a question about meta tags, I've got a couple of sites aimed at niche markets but I was too cocky going after too high PRs. (PR3)

If I changed my meta tags for example from whitening cream to lightening cream, will google put my site under lightening cream at the next PR update?
I'm asking this question because I want to know if I can avoid doing SEO on a new site.

And will the website address matter to google? For example my site is whiteningcream.com and I change the meta tags to lightening cream, keeping the same domain.

    I'm sure you will get some answers but for future reference )or you may want to delete this post and post in in the other sub-forum) post new threads in the most appropriate sub-forum.

    For example, this post would go in:

    Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum

    Also, for future reference, you will get better responses with more specific titles for example, Newbie needs help with SEO meta tags.

    Just some suggestions to help you get more and better answers.

    The META tags are such a low importance when it comes
    to SEO.

    Your page title and how you are building links are the 20% of
    the work that will bring you 80% of your results.

    Put your keyword and related keywords in to your META Tags
    4-7 of them. Thats it. Thats all there is.
