you're in good company i suspect. Although i am starting to implement what i have learnt, and havent posted much... I have been reading an awful lot of what is going on here and it is only in the last few months that I have upped my IM efforts rather than just read about it.

You have to give yourself a kick up the behind, read less and act more. It is hard but it gets easier each day you are implementing your ideas.

Make just one plan and stick to it awhile, better than jumping from one idea to the next without getting anywhere

I've posted this already today but it's worth saying again.

        1. Provide real value to real people.

        2. Help them find you.

That's all you need to do.

The Internet is just a platform, not some kind of magic world where money appears without providing value to real, live human beings.

So switch off your computer. Go for a long walk. Decide what you're going to sell or promote and who you're going to sell or promote to.

Then come back online and do it using the practical stuff (ignore the BS and hype) that you find here.

        Cheers,

      LOL,

      Yes.

      You need a break.

It should be fun - as in learning should be fun. If you're expecting to fix money issues in a short period that can be the problem. With out the necessary skills you won't.

Step away, and if you decide to come back we will all still be here - or at least I will[]

Can't say I don't know how you feel, but you gotta pick one thing to do. Pick one method. Pick one way to get traffic and just pummel the heck out of it. There's no way you're gonna be able to do everything in one day. Much less one month.

If you're stressed out because of money or whatever, now is the time to really get focused, because if you keep trying to do everthing you're just gonna keep shooting yourself in the foot.

At least you were honest enough to express yourself and sometimes, that's what you gotta do to keep it together.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have been at this for over a year, not made one affiliate sale but having fun trying.

It can be frustrating but with the help of all the WF family here, things are fun just to try.

Like others have already said, (which is what I should probably do) step away, decide on one thing and go for it. Don't let yourself be distracted by all the other opportunities that are out there. They will be there tomorrow when you have become successful with the ONE thing you decided to promote.

Relax, learn, have fun. And above all, DON'T give up!

      Hello Omari Taylor here,

97% percent of people online are failing because they can't take it and stick it out. Making money online is easy you just have to say consistent and persistent. Some people went years without making money before becoming millionaires. My advice is choose three marketing strategies that you like and do them everyday for 90 days. An if you are doing your keyword research correctly you will get results. Best wishes.

I understand exactly how you feel. It is very frustrating to read how people make money so easily while others struggle just to make a few dollars.

I wasn't able to focus for a long time, I just couldn't finish anything that I started. So I never made any money. Now I have chosen to focus on one method and that is all I do.

Stop spending time in forums and just pick a method and just keep doing it until you see a profit before moving on to something else.

Do something everyday to get closer to your goal. One step at a time. It's not how long you are online that counts it's how long you spend actually doing work on your business that counts.

When you get stress out, just walk away from the computer and do something else.

    Best of Luck

If theres one thing I've learnt is not to do everything at once which is what I suspect you want to do. Pick one thing and do it right! If your building a list, dont concentrate on adsense, if your doing bummarketing, dont be reading up on how to do Joint ventures etc

Totally agree with Bean77. I sometimes feel like you do and I'm six years into it. However, 100% of the time I feel that way it is because I'm not focusing.

I use "my need to learn" as an excuse to procrastinate. Stick with one thing. If it doesn't work, stick with it until you understand why it isn't working. Use that as a learning experience and go on to the next.

    Focus, focus, focus...

    Hey!
You are not alone staying up till early a.m. You must force yourself to work normal hours I stay up till 5 a.m. sometimes but I refuse to stay up after then, thats my limit and I say 'Fu*k this its bedtime' and just turn off the pc regardless of what i am doing. You need to excersise a bit of self control.
Also you seem to be doing to many things at once, try and master 1 thing at a time. Try getting a product with resell rights that comes with a sales page if you are a bit crap at html and try a bit of article and video marketing to promote it. If you cant afford to buy any products the join a few giveaway events to get some, sure you will end up on peoples lists but these lists can be useful to learn from and also some will provide other free stuff.
Dont give up just slow down and relax, you are not alone.

I know how it sucks.. Seriously, I'm in the same situation.
But I totally stopped learning, I have quit studying, now it is time to practice.
These "easy bucks" stuff is not for me, they all require big bucks to begin to work and I can't afford that.
I design websites easily, it is what I love most about it, I'll be doing something I like, but I hate writing, but I must write, because I'm totally broke. lol
So there are a few things you must do, I believe that nothing comes easy, that's why more than never I'm putting more effort to make things happen, every buck I'm earning I'm investing in IM, no results so far.. lol but I know it will be someday.. haha

My advice is, stop reading and get your hands dirty!

      Thales,

Thanks for pointing our YOUR likes & dislikes (strengths & weaknesses).

The reason why I say this is that you could share & swap your talents, such as web design with someone who has that other talent -- writing, but who does not know or like to do web design.

Perhaps mentioning this may also help other people think about what things they are good at and like to do and what things they need, but aren't good at.

Anyway, just a thought to help you become more successful in your IM endeavours.

      Cheers,

Unplug for a minute (mentally.) It's O.K. to vent. The others that have posted are all correct.

Find one thing you can work with and stick to that. Pick up information where you can, but don't lose focus on what you have decided to be your direction. You have to own it my friend.

You don't have to spend much money either. There is plenty of free info available (including this forum.)

Life is a marathon not a sprint. Pace yourself.

Most importantly, once you decide what direction to take, DO IT. Don't worry about making mistakes, just do it. It is the ONLY way to gain experience in anything. Massive action!

You need to fail and fail some more. What would happen if all of the babies starting to walk just gave up after falling 10, 50, 100+ times. We would all be crawling still!

Get back up, brush yourself off and make it happen. No one will do it for you.

Don't give up and you Can't fail

I'll leave you with a quote by the great Michael Jordan:

"I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed."

Getting up at 5:30am each morning, working FOR SOMEONE ELSE 'til 4:00pm and making WAY LESS money is hardly the better alternative.

People who know me & wife kind of know what i am doing, i could care less about THEIR opinion what "civil hours" are supposed to be.
Besides, i am working globally, so time has truly became irrelevant. I reside in EU right now and my main market is USA, but i also work with people from India..so i always look at time in a VERY relative way. (I also have a couple of clocks in the kitchen one shows "our" time the other shows US CET time

    a) You do NOT need unlimit credit, in fact you can start w/ ZERO. Key is ACTION. You just look at the barriers and THINK you need to spend money to get started. This is NOT true.

    b) You do NOT need to be a programmer or HTML coder. I don't deny it helps, but you dont have to mess with any of this.

Hey hey, interesting post!!!! Really like me in the past!!

I have the same feeling like yours before, but not just internet, also to many different things, too!! I guess you are easily getting frustrated while you are facing those unknown and things out of your circle of knowledge.

Believe me!! Seedling is not an easy job, but at least you have to find out how to make seedling with fun and joyful. For example, you don't like programming, highly suggest you to know the other gurus or friends that well with it (time to expand your personal community) and try to delegate without paying any cost. Just enjoy the most funniest part you want to do. If there is no any solutions here, just "change"! Change the whole project you are doing and shift to one you like and working comfortably. I just believe if something you like and got the emphasis on it, you will dig your head into it whole day without any tired feelings. I am sure you will only get great flowers and fruits when you like that seed!!

If it is really so hateful, just change what you are doing!!

In reality, you could write a diet/health book on one page - each day drink water, eat three balanced meals, a few healthy snacks, exercise 4 days a week, get a good night sleep, don't smoke, limit alcohol - there - book done!

Choose "ONE" core approach to making money on the internet and take massive action working on perfecting this approach. Quit chasing the new shiny bouncy ball - focus on making $1/day... then $100/day... then...

I know how you feel, I didn't make a single dollar for 4 years in a row...and I started making my online the last 2 years...so my advice is get motivated and stick with it.

Mistakes are learning experiences (NOT failures)

    Cheers

Take a couple of days away from the computer before it ends up meeting with an unfortunate hammer related accident.

Regroup, chill, focus, do some yoga while listening to "Colors by Amos Lee", very calming.

Come back, pick one thing in here, one. Research surrounding that one thing you picked and focus on working that idea to its maximum.

Don't put too much unncessary pressure on yourself to know everything and to do everything, that would be impossible. Just because there are so many great ideas and information floating around doesn't mean you have to act on each one. Remember that expression, a jack of all trades and a master of none, same concept.

Focus is what will stop the insanity. Work one idea through to completion, then move onto something else.

    Hope this makes sense.

Sounds like youv come down with a bad case of "Analysis Paralysis", leading to burn out. I prescribe you ban yourself from the internet for a few days. Since its addictive, you will be back after that.

Stop spending your whole day on this forum, no wonder your burnt out and not achieving anything. Choose what IM path you want to take, take action, stick to one project at a time and make sure you finnish it before starting another.

I have to agree - pick one option to try... then actually take some action. Stop reading up on everything and just DO. It won't be perfect, but you'll get experience. And with experience, you'll get better at what you do and actually make some money in the process.

    Good luck!
