My site is out of the sandbox

I just thought I would share this story with you.

I had one of my first affiliate sites working, made a couple of sales and then it got put in the sandbox in September. I added around 4 new unique articles over the site within one month (In November) and cleaned up some of the content.

On Saturday it returned and starting gaining traffic again. I'm going to be a lot more patient this time around and continue to add new content and relevant backlinks.

I have read a few stories about this situation so If you are in this situation I'd remain patient and make a few little tweaks. Start a new project with the lessons learnt and hope it comes back!

Focus on quality content and adding value and the behavioural metrics that Google observes will show them that your site is the real deal.

This is something we all have to learn for ourselves amidst all of the hype that IM and SEO teaches...

Too many spammy links to early in your sites lifecycle will get you sandboxed, but adding quality links and quality content is always a good thing.

Glad you are back on the upswing!

I don't think it was an issue with the links to be honest, as all my links were pretty relevant and all manual. I think it was more duplicated content. There is still some duplicated content on the site which is interesting.

Hey congratulations! It's always a nice feeling when that happens.

It boggles my mind that some people still claim there's no such thing as the Google sandbox *LOL*

For what time google can place you in a sandbox? What does sandbox mean? - less traffic for ever while waiting for a nice content on your website?
