My very first reward from blogging: Being casted for a reality show!

The reward has got nothing to do with money. Really, don't expect a nice screenshot of my PayPal or anything.

But instead, a couple of weeks ago, someone contacted me on Facebook. She works at a production. She told me she follows my blog and loves the way I write as I stand out among other bloggers in Singapore (that's where I am).

So get this: She is casting me for a reality show.

I have gone for the interview and I will be confirmed again in the coming months.

I know this isn't traditional internet marketing "rewards". I have yet to earn bucketloads of money from my blog alone.

But this feels really awesome. It's really great to know people appreciate my writing and that this has come forth SOLELY from the blog itself.

So I just want to tell others this:

Stay true to yourself.


Whether you are blogging, selling stuff online or whatever, just stay true to yourself. I personally believe that, as long as you believe in yourself, follow your heart and passion, good things will manifest. So don't give up!

I have had criticism that my writing style does not suit the personal development niche (I actually try to move my articles in that direction), that I am intentionally closing doors for myself, that it will be actually extremely hard to start monetizing it. But I was like, "But this is who I am and this is HOW I love to write! I don't want to sit in front of the computer feeling like a drag".
