Hey Warriors, what are you working on right now?

Hi Paul. First off, welcome back to the forum. See you got a new account.

Okay, what am I working on?

The hardest thing I've ever tried to do since I started marketing in 2003...selling
my business.

Yes, I'm working on getting out of the rat race and I'm finding it's nowhere near
as easy as actually working IN the rat race. Finding buyers for a "branded"
business based off of somebody's name is a tough sell.

I mean let's face it...who the #%@ wants to be Steven Wagenheim?

So the process may take a little longer than I expected.

But make no mistake about it. This is my last year in business if I can at all
help it. I've had enough. I don't need the money anymore and just want to
unload it all.

Problem is, while I know everything about marketing products and services, I
know nothing about selling a business. It's like I'm a newb again and it's not
a nice feeling.

I'm looking for some kind of a broker who handles these things, but I'm not
having any luck getting responses. Seems nobody either can or wants to be
bothered.

Honestly, it's a little disheartening, but I'm not giving up. I won't just give
the business away so if I don't get a fair price I'd rather keep working and
hang onto it, though that is my LAST choice.

Anyway, that's what I'm working on right now and it's harder work than
anything I have done in the 9 years leading up to this day.

Go figure.

Yesterday was a typical "new" kind of day for me. In the morning I did a little
work (very little) and then went to my friend's comic and card store and we
ran a Magic the Gathering "draft" in M12. I came in 2nd. I lost thanks to a
top decked Mind Control. Actually it was a top decked land
that allowed him to play the Mind Control on my creature. So close to a win.

Yeah, these days I play lots of Magic, video games, just wrote a choral
piece for my church choir on my new Finale Songwriter software and basically
enjoy what's left of my life. Wife is retiring in a couple of years and after
that, who knows?

Will I someday get bored not working in this business? Maybe. But for now,
it's the last thing I want to do.

I do kind of miss being around here as much as I used to be. I don't think I
made 100 posts all of 2011. For me, that's a miracle.

Anyway, it really is good to see you back. I have no doubt that you're going
to have a great year.

As for myself...it's going to be an interesting one if nothing else.

Hi Paul! I'm a member of Lynn's Elite brainstorming group and she is definitely the real deal.

Here's what I'm working on today:

- set up a new Posterous space and did some screenshots of the process for a guest blog posts I did yesterday
- sent an email to my list about some new PLR with a coupon offer
- wrote 3 new articles for a new PLR pack I want done by Friday.
- hung out at the Warrior Forum. (time to get back to work?)

- still need to write a few articles for a free WSO that I'm putting together
- need to identify a few blogs for potential guest posts
- do some commenting
- spend a little time on Facebook and Twitter. Would you believe I always forget to do that? Not a good social media example.

Hope everyone else is getting through their to do lists.

I am in the middle of reworking an old site that I'd left to die, dang thing said "screw you buddy, I'm a winner" and was pulling nice traffic the whole time that I was ignoring it and I was spending most of my time building newer properties! HA!

So now I'm rewriting some of the content to make it stickier, adding a few more valuable pages and getting it fully optimized to make some sales! I love it when my I get a LATE BLOOMER!
