Hello everyone.

I am sure you have these kinda questions all the time.

I have sat on this idea for some time but have decided now my day job is a little slow I can dedicate more time to the internet and making things work out.

So then I have a domain name of which I wish to establish a site then sell products through. Understanding here that there are currently lots of people doing the same thing I was wanting to put a Internet Marketing slant on some old school training.

Establish the site and sell some credible products to help struggling businesses.

Trouble is this.

Almost every bit of information I read it tells you to use someone else to sell the product through thus taking the hassle away from you(but for a fee of course). The distribution can be done by thousands of people and are indeed proven.

To take products to market and to earn some cash seems really simple but there is so much stuff to have in order or so I am led to believe I would like someone to tell me the order without trying to sell me something that may put something in order and take the control and understanding away from me.

Is there a simple guide from A to Z which someone can point to so I can have a better understanding of the correct way things should work. With that said I am sure there are serveral routes to market but I would like to understand the correct way.

I do hope this makes sense and I hope someone can help Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Many Thanks

J4y

    Hi J4y,

    Welcome!

Are the products physical products or are they information products?

If you are going down the road of information products, I would strongly recommend using Clickbank as your processor.

The sheer number of potential affiliates that already promote clickbank products makes it worth your effort.

If you are talking about physical products....

Where are those products been sourced from?

    Kindest regards

    Chris

      Hey! Welcome aboard!

I would use the advice above (Clickbank) as its the most newbie friendly and has the most offers out there. In fact a lot of the products even have an affiliate area where you can get everything you need to get started. Sometimes they even give you a website!

You could also use video marketing to sell these products. By the way I would go with digital products to start!

Pick something with at least a 75 gravity. The story is (although no one knows for sure) is that the gravity # is actually the number of affiliates that have sold a copy of that product in the last week.

Gravity is an indicator that you can see in the Clickbank marketplace.....it represents how "popular" the product is with affiliates etc...

What they said! But you probably don't want to start out going after the super high gravity products as there will be tons of competition (other people promoting ).

    Well J4Y,
This is not an easy question. You have to pick a product or service and STICK WITH IT. We all started at the beginning and feeling the same as you. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the great products and services but the nr 1 mistake is you take on too many and never complete one - find your niche and stick with it.

Listen to this guy... I made the mistake of being overwhelmed and doing too much at the same time... I didn't succeed with that business model

I just started few months back... so far the best advice i have got and will share to any one starting out is... What is your focus, immediate cash flow ,long term business building , can be both.. That will help you identify the areas to focus on..

If you want to get the $$$ coming without waiting for long , you can try providing services liek article writing {something i am looking at ..} , you can also flip sites, so you have to get confortable with wordpress , and can create amazon mini sites and flip them .. Of course there are lots of ways of freelancing and making money... Not sure if i can post a link else i know of a WSO which camme 2 weeks back by avani misra talks about feelancing in detail, so you can start making $$ without too much investment other than time.

But if you think long term you can earn while also building skills which can be used when you go for selling physical / info products using click bank. amazon ... down the line . just my 2 cents

I agree with this. You have to know if you want a long term business or a short term. I suggest you should go for long term business since you will be more successful in the end. Short term business would be fine too just for a start.

find some services you would like to buy,
then check if that service exist, if not you got a good niche.
if yes, then check how you can improve the service to be better than the existent.

thats a good thing to start with

Wow, stacks of information there and thank you to all. The products will be information products, mainly educational business products.

Just before I finish for the day :p

Apart from Clickbank you could also use the services of Plimus.com or Paydotcom.com

Time for a nice cool glass of wine

I agree with the people suggesting to think long term. Start with determining the customers you want to serve instead of looking for a product. Once you have a clear picture of the who, the what is simple

This is a common question for newbies, a step by step program for how to make money online.

The first question is what method do you want to use???

I like list building and once I learned how to do the basics, I showed others how to do it. You can pick any niche you want to build a list and can sell whatever you choose.

You own the site, you control it all yourself. This is why I like list building so much.

    Good luck.
