Google+ Search Changes...What do the Warriors think?

Just wanted to find out what all the Warriors thought about how Google has integrated Google+ into search results.

I love Google+ and have been using it quite a bit however, the "personal results" I get from Google have nothing to do with the original search. Although I'm sure Google will be perfecting this over the next few days.

Thoughts anyone?

Just like everything Google rolls out I'm sure I'll be slightly annoyed at first. But over time I'll adapt and get used to it. I think it's going to be a pretty big deal, too. Here's a good article if anyone is interested: Google search undergoes 'most radical transformation ever' - CNN.com

Heres an article pulled directly from Google.

Search, plus Your World ยท Inside Google Search

If the social element becomes a large contributing factor in terms of rankings, you'll no doubt see a massive shift in online marketers, all moving to embrace it.

    This will no doubt mean...

    a) a lot of fake profiles on G+
    b) a lot of artificial likes and recommendations
    c) G+ will become nothing more than an IM spam filled paradise.

Im already seeing some of my own sites being surrounded by happy smiling profile photos and stupid G+ circles data.

Important for SEO with google + is the meta tags for Publisher and author:

rel= homepage to link to google + business page

    rel=author individual content

Not interested in Google+ It can be so obviously gamed it will become pointless and it should never be used to influence search results. I also use Google for searches less nowadays because of the skewed results. Much prefer Yahoo and more real searches.

I personally dont like this shift.

I feel as though G+ member sites are going to be favoured over non G+ member sites, which is ridiculous.

Why should I feel "pressured" into having to embrace a 2nd social network just to protect my income?

I think it sucks big time!

Don't get me wrong. I am big fan of G+. I was one of the early beta testers, but to me google are now screwing up what made them great in the first place. They are getting greedy and going the same way as Microsoft, but they still think the sun shines out of there a$$

I always loved google as it was plain and simple, fast and most of all it was about the pursuit of index and search.

Now thats all going. Slowly the front page is being narrowed down to make room for Googles portfolio including shopping, youtube, flights and travel. To add to all of that it will now be tainted by what my aunty +1'ed 4 months ago.

Time to find a new search engine. I am already using blekko as a hopeful replacement.
