I have been offered a .me (dot me) name for $24 dollars a year by Wordpress.com That seems like a good name to have. But what about the price? That seems high? Could I get it cheaper somewhere else? Any suggestions as to where?

Yes it probably will be cheaper elsewhere. Take a look around yourself there are plenty of registrars - Namecheap, Go Daddy, 123.reg etc are just some

What was wrong with the answers you got here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...se-advise.html

Yes, that's much too expensive. It's $8.99 at Namecheap, and you shouldn't buy a domain-name through your host anyway, and you shouldn't be using wordpress.com for any blog for which you plan monetization, because this breaches their TOS.

Didn't we just have all this conversation?

Also a very bad idea: it's extremely ill-advised to register and host in the same place.

If you plan on succeeding with Internet marketing, you would be advised to gain some search skills.

This might be a good opportunity for you to learn something about different sellers and about the prices of domain names in general.

Oh. And unless you have an immediate plan for using the domain name, don't buy it at all. Many of us have an inventory of "cool" domain names in inventory that have never been used.

That's way too expensive - as above you can pick that up for $8.99 at Namecheap.

Get your own hosting, most hosts have one click Wordpress install functions so you can have the ease of a Wordpress powered blog. You will however have to pay for the hosting (maybe 4 bucks a month) but you can have as many sites on it as you like.

Godaddy tends to be the cheapest around with the best domain hosting management. They also give discounts on bulk orders and give random discounts through email
