Where to start

Hi

I am a novice/newbie to IM and would like to know where to and what to do to get started on the first step of the ladder to try and build a little fun/part time on line business, any suggestions/links would be appreciated.

    Hi Dick, welcome to the forum.

    You will need to give us a few more details so we can help you. For example: do you have a website? if not, do you have a special interest/hobby that you might like to turn into a website? Do you have any computer skills or are you in a position to outsource these tasks? Is there any area of internet marketing that has tickled your fancy eg, adsense, cpa, affiliate marketing, creating your own products etc.

    Let us know a little more so we can give you some tips and pointers in the right direction.

    I would say learn as much as possible.

    You will find a lot of information here at the Warrior forum so keep reading away.

    Try and learn traffic generation techniques.

    One you have website traffic you can use it to sell :-)

    I think a lot of new marketers get this the wrong way around.

    I would say learn how to drive traffic first and then look at a product.

    Have you tried anything yet?

      I joined MIB (myinternetbusiness.com) in November 2008 and then found this forum and I beleive I made a mistake after reading a few things here, so I am now trying to get a refund.

    If you want to know where to start in your quest to create another source of income I will suggest the link at the top of this forum for newbies and here's a thread by myself.

    Tip: Look for a net business model to begin with. In other words, how to you intend to start making money with your net based business?

    Discovering what the net business models are and then determining which one you want to conduct first will save you time and eliminate lots of confusion and info-overload.

    I would say to learn about the different business models out there and then choose one and focus on it until you see success.

      Hi Dick

      You have made a good start by your presence here on WF.

      I am fairly new to IM and have been a fellow warrior for less than a week, but I have learned a lot in that short time. It is well worthwhile

      There are two actions that will help you to develop:

      1 - Keep on browsing and posting on this forum

      2 - Decide on a Niche and then Research - Research - Research

      I hope that they are of some use.
