Starting Out with Amazon Affiliate

I bought an ad on a forum type site with a simple amazon affiliate link.

The ad promoted a single item (a book).

I only sold 2 copies of this book but ended up selling a decent number other random items, some of which were way more expensive than the book.

Is this very common?

I'm happy with the results (I wasn't honestly expecting to even make my money back on this ad), but am wondering if I should switch to other items.

People sell random items all the time, you would probably be better off targeting products that have a higher price than a book.

Its very very common and in many cases most Amazon Affiliates sell more products that they dont really promote than those they do.

Thats one of the great things about Amazon, you can be promoting a $100 product and someone follows your link and decides to buy a $2000 product and you still get paid.

      Kickin it on Amazon
